Hey! That looks like mine. And mine looks like all the other ones. With the black wood, it's hard to get a pic that shows the grain.

I've been carrying a 112 for the last six months, so this feels large in comparison, but I'm getting used to it. I think this one's going to get a lot more use than my 110s. It's just......different.

Another day and another screw up! Thanks to the USPS!!

I don't know who did the final work on my blade, but this thing has the most evenly ground edges, and is the sharpest of any Buck I've ever gotten. Including my two from the Custom Shop. Heck, even the swedge is kind of sharp.

I'm really enjoying the Buck 111. Works just fine on the yard sticks. Can't wait to get it out into the woods. Too purdy to leave at home.

Very impressive grinds! I wish that they took enough pride and cared about quality of craftsmanship on all of their blades!

The last few Bucks that I received were......lousy at best. Two of them were from the Custom Shop.

I have multiple packages that have been sent at separate times in the past week and they’re currently all late. It’s getting pretty ridiculous. I have one package I’m waiting on, coming from Georgia. Like, come on man, there’s no major weather situation going on between Georgia and Florida and hasn’t been in the past month.

My 111 showed up several days earlier than expected, what a great knife ! When I have more time I'll fondle it a bit.
I'm not set up to post pics (something I'll need to learn about I guess).
I held the included sheath next to my old (original) 51 yr old 110 sheath. I was surprised the new sheaths are suede leather instead of the old "regular" leather.

Mine are sitting in a processing center 3 hours from my house where they have been for 2 days. Plus, both took side trips that were way off the beaten path.

FINALLY! Mine arrived today. It took that whirlwind tour by the Pony Express harkening back to the beginning of the US Postal Service.

It is a very nice piece and in nearly perfect condition (a little dirty girl). I really like it and now to decide if it will actually do any work or simply take up space?

Have not taken any photos, but it looks a lot like the other 999!

Glad it finally came. And, yeah, there isn't a whole lot of difference in their looks. The action on mine was kind of stiff & gritty, so I "flushed" the joint & back spring with gun oil, and worked the blade back & forth for a couple minutes. A lot of black stuff worked its way out, and it's pretty slick now. I bought mine to be a user.

At the very last minute I caved and ordered one of these, and it just arrived. I couldn't resist the fancy curved bolsters! I may actually list my drop point nickel 110s soon since they will lose their spot to this one. I've learned I'm a clip blade lover and this 111 is perfect with the magnacut blade.

I agree.
The more I use my folders, the more I prefer a clip point blade.

Haha yes, "caved" may have been a poor choice of words. As soon as I saw it I wanted it, and then I held out to see what the BOTM would be. I'm really happy with them both.

Nope, nothing at all wrong with drop points. As far as the edge goes, I honestly couldn't ask for better. The grind gets a little narrow toward the tip, but overall it's very well done.. and SHARP! I only wish I could sharpen as well as Buck does.
