I am stoked to show this incredible piece here

Coop has masterfully captured this Limited Edition Fire

This hand ground S35 VN blade exhibits a compound grind that is highlighted with mirrored grinds

The Fire is earning a reputation for its quality and versatility that only a well done Double Action Auto can exhibit

There will be a total of 80 pieces in this run and Matt will hopefully have 25 for the upcoming Blade show

This piece just catches light and is stunning in person

Not only will DISKIN USA be bringing some of these limited run pieces to the show we will have Fires and the much anticipated Flipper

Very excited and hope to see you all @ BLADE 2014 :)

the new fire looks fantastic Joe. i do wish he stuck with the elmax/dlc. But that is a great mirror polish :thumb: Will these only be available at the shows?

Beautiful. I am not normally a fan of compound grinds but this is one of the nicest ones I have ever seen.

Thank you all for the kind words :)

Jeremy

For now these are for release at Blade

I am hoping he has a few more made for the Gathering

If I can be of help let me know

Yunno......I hear you to a degree....but then I have to step back and say....what difference does it make?

ATS-34/CPM 154 makes a great knife steel when the heat treat is on.....I have a hard used John W. Smith S30V Evolution that went over 5 years without needing a serious sharpening, just ceramic stick tuning occasionally.....this obsession people have with the newest superstainless is really just marketing and short attention span imo.

Matt knows steel, and he makes sure that his heat treats are tested, reliable and hold an edge extremely well.

Great photos Coop and thanks for putting this up Joseph! I know it is a lot of work, and am very much looking forward to my newest addition to the largest known Matt Diskin knife collection in the world....9 different knife patterns and counting.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I want Matt to make me a ring guard dagger :)

It's almost like the iPhone, now my Fire from last year seems inferior....must upgrade.

Funny

Matt is really growing his brand

The Fire is such an awesome platform to start with I am hoping for many exciting variants in the future

This years show is going to be exciting to say the least with three great offerings

Very sweet grinds and I dig the mirror polish!
I may have to upgrade mine from the original from a couple years ago Joe!

See you at blade!
Regards jeff

I have purchased one at Blade Show each year and I don't see where they have changed significantly from a basic design and mechanics perspective.
I see them more evolving with different options and material offerings.
