limited edition?

Hey Cobalt, how you doing?

You have a good point. In this post Busse bubble period, prices have fallen. Some cool, rare, old stuff is going begging. If I was in acquisition mode, there have been some nice things out there. Maybe the newer piglets don't value the old blades as highly because they didn't grow up seeing it, and the new stuff is splashed all over here daily?

yeah, the old straight handle stuff and even the e-handle stuff were less volume than today for sure.

to me, there are so many older blades going for lower prices, that I would be picking up those instead of new. To me those are worth more as they were and are very limited these days.

Very true.

Definitely a word to the wise.

adam sneh,

This is a forum for discussion and not for announcing what you are wanting to buy. You've posted at least three posts on this thread alone for that which you are seeking.
May I suggest that you place a WTB thread in the Wanted To Buy: Knives forum and maybe you will get lucky. :)

Now, back to discussion... :)

Sorry, didn't know the rules
Thanks for the tip
I'll not write it any more
Once again, sorry

Thanks

Are we talking about this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...2sUQkSdto7P0aZiEGEBjQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

FYI, it is OK to post completed auction links.

That does not look like a LE to me, but more likely it was a Show special model. Busse will often have variants at shows or in 'Ganzas. An example would be the number of satin FSH that have shown up in the last few years. These are not LE models, nor offered for sale anywhere but at shows like Blade, Easton, KC, etc.

Yes
This is the one
Didn't know that one is allowed to add completed auction links

Thanks

that one looks like it was finished aftermarket by someone and due to sabre grind it is not an LE. It is either a std one or possibly an SE but definitely not an LE with no number. Also, the thickness confirms that it is not an LE and that it may have been refinished. If I remember correctly the LE's were all over 0.3" thick. If I remember, mine was 0.316"

Yeah definitively stripped and sanded for sure.

And it's way too cheap for a real LE.... Even a beater LE would go for more than that. ;)

That was my thought as well, but the description says it is brand new. Must be just crappy pics.

The NMFBM LE must be heavy beasts. My reprofiled, nekkid CG NMFBM is still my monster chopper, equal to the TTKZ that Garth reprofiled. I wouldn't want to swing anything much heavier.
