Limited Editions Released 08/20/2020

Is that the knife? Did you go down to the factory to pick it up? I'm even more excited about the purchase after seeing that one!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm going to have to wait for the mail...geez...thanks Makael...LOL
I changed the order to Will Call. it hit the factory store this afternoon and saved Buck 15.00 shipping.

Cool knife.

The leather in the handle is fantastic looking. Joe H builds these. I know he changed something so that the polish from the metal didnt clog up the leather. Did a great job.

I cannot believe that 118 isn't sold out.
Sambar stag for less than $200.......
I have one, but to me that is the deal.

Nice stuff otherwise, but I've bought too many knives lately.
I thought this was a good deal too. I also thought that Buck wasn’t using Sambar Stag anymore. I thought they only had Elk now. In the pictures, the Stag looked more like Elk to me. Many of their past knives made with Sambar Stag have had me drooling! I guess the file work doesn’t add to much to the value since it is pretty minimal, but any custom work is nice to see. I look forward to getting mine.

Cool.
Please post some pics when you get it. Often Buck's pic's don't do the knife justice.
The 118 in itself is a great knife. Add the sambar stag / file work..... It's gotta be cool!

Might of lucked out on matching the web model. Fold over sheath. Sharp spine, this knife should throw sparks.

Big thumbs up:thumbsup:!

Man that is one cool knife.
I like the 120's but think they are a bit big for that hollow grind. (As if I would even use that, ha)
It would be sweet if Buck would continue this handle / blade combo on some future Limited Editions.
I can only imagine some of the stuff they could come up with!

I saw these within minutes of them releasing them on my little screen phone, but shoulda been working instead so I didn't really see the details of what the offerings were..........

OK, I'm jealous. Happy now?
(just kidding)

edit, no I'm not!

I am not a great picture taker, but.........Got my LE in the mail today. It must have come across the country on a rocket ship. I have wanted a Buck Sambar Stag fixed blade knife for a long time. In fact, I thought they had quit using Sambar Stag and only offered Elk. The file work isn't much to speak of, but it is better than none. I believe they picked me out a good one! Thanks Buck!!

Very nice. Thanks for posting pictures.

I believe these Limited Production knives are mainly comprised of leftover materials from other runs and old stock. That may be why they were able to use Sambar Stag on this limited run of 25 knives.

That is a sweet knife.
And to get one with the file work is a bonus.
I have priced Sambar stag scales...... You can get 'em, but they are not cheap.
But they always look better in my opinion.
Nice grab.
118's are underappreciated.

^^The sambar stag on that knife is a beautiful. Here is my 124. I love it. It feels so light in the hand for such a large knife. My first big Buck fixed blade and I couldn't be happier. I was on the fence and money was tight but I am so glad I bought it. Oh, and the free 112 Ranger Lite is cool as well.

I had never even seen a 118 before. To me, it is kinda like a stiffer fillet knife. I would imagine it would make a perfect field dressing knife.

Very nice 124, Tigerden. I hope everybody that got one of these LE knives will post pictures here. Your 124, and especially the Sambar Stag 118's, can have really different looks and I hope to see all the different variants.

My order made it to St Louis. Some sheath issues. The 118 has an asymmetric bulb to the right, the keeper strap will not close around the handle. It arrived "snapped" but strained. I'm afraid it will pull the snap out of the leather if I stretch hard to resnap it. On the 120, it is a bit of a struggle for the guard to slip past the plastic liner and fully seat. The knives are perfect although I wish the stag had been more symmetrical. I forgot to add to free 112 promo code to my order of 6 knives... sent an email the same day requesting it be added, no luck. I'll get some pics up for Sunday.

Wet the strap and stretch around handle then let dry. I think the guard on the 120 is a little wider than stock.
