is it to early to have a snort or two?

Never! Give me two hooves, neat. As you can see below, I'm already on ice :D :D

BTW, we don't need no stinkin' limits. Just act like a Hog, the whole hog, and nothing but the hog. No Regrets!

∞someone get some cheese

Isn't that why we are called "HOGs" ????

Put a limit and you have to change the time honored name....

Add me to the vote for "No Limits"!!!!

oh by the way.... not for sale... just for lookin ;)

Skunk,

Don't do it! If a GW came out like that; even I'd buy 27 of 'em.

Seriously that is one that I'd sure love to see:thumbup: .

how about a warden that was finished just like these?

satin with black G-10  ;)

yup, that would be nice. But hopefully skunk can get more than just 200 of those. Since those first 200 will go to the lucky first 4 piglets to snatch them from the basket at 1 am eastern time.

My .02, i bought 4 (2 orange, 2 green) however, i wasn't in front of the computer when they came up for sale- i was at work. I had to run a covert ops initiative with another individual, who will remain nameless, to get what i wanted.

Truth be told, i would of bought 10 more if i could of. I don't buy these knives to resell them at a profit, i buy them because i like em. I don't think limits or restrictions are the way to go... Keep things the way they are!

"satin with black G-10"

I'll take two of those GW, Skunk. Just put it on the C.C.

Thanks for the next great EDC blade, Bro:thumbup:

I think your going to find that the ones buying up all the stock market GW's joined in the last year, not the big Hogs.

But having said that I still don't think there should be limits, just don't buy them and don't pay outrageous prices. I have been offered GW's by good people that bought a few who don't mind helping out a brother hog.

That's the problem though with some of the new people it's like "hey I got mine so go pound sand" so there's less comaradade around here and more people looking to make a buck rather than helping out a fellow Hog/Piglett that's why in my opinion some of the styles like the GW should be a regular prodution model not a BCS only.

The current process of acquiring INFI has been very good to me.

I have all the INFI I can afford......at least until Jerry or Skunk announces the next new offering. Then I'll get the opportunity to buy another great knife.

There are a few that I wish I hadn't missed.

Like this from an extravaganza a year or so ago.

But I can look at my growing collection of quality Busse knives and happily say "no regrets."

I know that this will bring down the wrath from above but here goes anyway. Nobody and I repeat nobody buys ten of the same blade without the intent of resell. You may not drop it into the exchange next week with a 50 dollar profit or more, but you are buying for investment. A couple users, sure, but 10? I don't think so. As for the registered user/gold member thing. Get over yourself. Its either a paid forum or not. If I never intend to sell an item why would I pay to join an internet forum. The reason they don't close it down to only paid members is very simple. Check the exchange and see that the majority of purchases from you gold members is us lowly registered users. Dry up that pool and the gold class would quickly tire of paying for membership to sell knives to each other. Obviously, the system is not broke when it comes to the Busse way of selling knives, but it also is not very user friendly. Its not my business, but I am a customer and for a customer service friendly bunch they (Busse and BCS) might listen to people like me who prefer to have a shot at buying their product at retail, not at the price some guy who bought dozens of them and then resells them at a profit. Nothing wrong with that. Choose not to buy from them or at all, it is always your choice. But I would prefer the BCS find a way to let Busse fans purchase their products and not leave the system the way it is where a few individuals line their pockets. Just my view on it, fire away!

no worries pedropcola. my experience here in the Busse forum is that most of the guys here will treat you well even if they don't agree with you.

I'm just saying... I doubt anyone is gonna be firing any shots across your bow.

Hey, Each is entitled to their opinion. I respect that and that's why I love this country. Yep, sure enough I'll be putting a few away for a day when I may need to raise some cash. Ya caught me. BUT... I also bought a bunch for X-mas/ B-day presents. I gave away one, and would like to give away one or 2 more over the next few months... That is if you don't mind me doing a contest once in a while!!!! I will be selling a few here and there to absorb a chunk of the contest giveaway costs. I don't mean to sound high and mighty, BUT this site is not profitable to run for its owners, and almost went away last May. ...So excuse me when I say that I do feel a bit insulted when those who ride for free jump me because I was HONEST ENOUGH (It wasn't me wanting to brag, that's for dang sure.) to come forward and not stand aside saying things like, "the nerve of that guy, huh.". I came forward because I felt that I owed it to the forum as a whole to not hide on the issue. But, I'm about out of apologies. I'm about out of reassurance. All's I can say is, don't be so anxious to rush to judgement. So far, I've hooked a few HOG's up who've asked, @ cost. I will respect their privacy and not name them here. I sold a few in the for Sale forum, check that if you want, and I gave one away. So far my profits????????????? Well, I'm still in the red on the one's I've let go, thanks for asking.

BTW $25 (The price of Gold) a year is completely fair for even the most basic membership on this very nicely operated website. JMHO

Ans as always, YMMV.
thanks for reading,
Jaxx:cool:

EDITED to ADD: pedropcola, sorry, I didn't check your join date before :foot: LOL! By all means get to know this place before deciding on the gold membership thing, but PLEASE consider it when ya go to renew, cool?

I have to agree with Jaxx Here. While I don't like the idea of people buying in mass just to resale, he has shown not only through words but also his actions that that is/was not his intent.

I also agree with him on the paid memberships. I personally think they should close the exchange to all but paying members. Hell i was here less than a week and realised I liked this site enough to support it. I went platnum figuring it cost less than I would spend on 1 night on the town. To me that was a great deal. This site costs alot of money to keep up. If you use it and enjoy it there is no reason to not spend 25 or 50 dollers a year to support it. Hell if you can afford to buy a Busse at either the company store or straight from the company, there is no reason you can't afford to support this site.

Just my 2 cents

Really? I like how people who haven't even been here a year and feel that just because they've bought a membership can put other people down for not buying one or tell them they have no right to an opinion here. I've been here for close to five years and haven't paid every year does that make me a bad guy or not allow me to voice my opinion? To me what's more important is honor and integrity in your reputation in how you treat people and your fellow neighbors.

 All good points.
Heck, I'm thinking about letting BF.com keep the rest of my Gold fee and stepping up already. I will definitely renew @ platinum, this site is one of my favorites and I really feel it is worth the support. :D
