yeah. I've been a member (or user, since some members seem to prefer that term) here for just over 2 years. For one of those years I was a gold member, currently I am not.

My personal feeling is that using your forum "status" as an argument or defense in a debate unrelated to same is entirely bogus.

Micky, if they closed the exchange to all but paying members there would be much fewer knives and gear sold, guaranteed, and with that would very likely come a drop in paid memberships.

I know nothing about the " using your status in a Debate issue " you are talking about. All I am saying is if someone uses this Forum and likes it, they should be willing to support it. As far as less being sold maby overall, probably also with alot less bad postings in the GB&U. How ever I do not believe it would drop that much. Buck wanted their own sell board, they needed 40 new gold memberships to get it. They got well over the 40 new gold memberships and numerous upgrades to plat. If that was done for a Buck imagine what all the followers of Busse and Swamp Rat could do to help put these boards into the black. Is 25 dollers really that much over a year.

I will put my money where my mouth is. I will pay for four gold memberships for those who really and truelly can't afford them. It will be by the honor system, all i ask is that before a person posts saying they want one is that they really analize the enjoyment they get from the boards, put a value on it and say to themsellves I really can't afford this. I already don't spend 5.00+ a day on a pack of ciggerates (yes I smoke not picking on smokers), I dont buy a quart or a sixpack a day. I dont spend 5-10 dollers a day on coffie or vending machines. The first 4 that meet this criteria and can honestly say they can't afford to pay for a gold membership I will pay the fee.

We can all buy memberships to support this site till the cows come home and Spark can get a new Ferrari but without people with good moral fiber it don't mean Chit!

roughedges, I have caught crap since the very moment I faced the music. I KNOW that i'm not the only one to ever buy Busse in bulk, but I AM the only one that I'm aware of, to have stepped forward to fess up to my actions even though I haven't violated any law, or rule, or policy. I took WEEKS of this, I apologized PLENTY. I assured PLENTY that these weren't going to eBay (unless for charity through MissionFish). Yesterday when I said that crack about get a GOLD membership, it was because I had noticed that ALL the negative remarks were from users/ maybe some basic members, and 2 positive posts coincidently from GOLD members. I got a little peeved, considering I gave a knife away in hopes (among other random acts of KINDNESS) that some would upgrade to help Spark and his ragged crew, aaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggg, run this place better longer! So I said that. but REALLY, $25 in not much for a membership to this site. So upgrade, and then come & gimme some more s***, cool? :D ... But, seriously, please consider supporting this site.

BTW Say of me what you will. I'll let my actions do the talking. Perhaps I'll convince you to judge me more fairly later on down the pike. :)

I don't think it serves any purpose in the topic at hand. This is my opinion as we are all entitled to regardless of the color of our names on the page.

Just the same, my feeling is that ANYONE who, for whatever reason, purchases 20+ knives of one make and model loses the right to accuse other collectors of being dealers under the guise of gold membership. that is also bogus, in my opinion.

I don't think this attacks you personally. It does of course attack positions you've taken though.

I was thinking that was diricted at me as although I don't believe I have done anything Morally wrong I know I have ruffled alot of feathers on certain boards in my short time here.

What, I can't buy knives for any other purpose but to collect them? I can't buy then for gifts? trade them for wardens that I missed out on?? I can't give one away here once in a while? I can't use a few, satinize a few, enjoy a few?
I said it ONCE I'll say it again. I will abide by any set of purchasing rules officially laid out to all. If you think that I'll just hand over my Skelly stash and skulk away, forget it. If you accuse me of profit taking BEFORE I actually take a profit then aren't you judging me based on NO information and A LOT of speculation?? I did my home work, I checked the threads, I'm NOT accusing *him* of being a dealer... But for him to hint around about this sort of thing is like the pot calling the kettle black. :thumbdn:

Jaxx, please show me where I said any of this. Here's the truth. I am an opinionated dick but I try and keep it cordial here because I enjoy Bladeforums and Busse knives. When I intend my words to address you specifically I will also do so by using your name. I am not ashamed to step on any toes or hurt your feelings so, rest assured, anything I have said that you think addresses you specifically is not meant to do so unless it includes your name or is in direct response to one of your posts.

As for Bravado, he certainly does not need me to defend him, but as near as I can tell he is just a guy who has collected Busses for what is (to me at least) a very long time and continues to do so. As a result, he regularly needs to make room for his newest acquistions.

Now I'll keep my big mouth out of it as I never should have opened it in the first place. Sorry everyone! :)

You've checked me out really? And what did you find out in all of your 11 months of wisdom on these boards that I'm a dealer? :rolleyes: You're the one who got called out here not me I'm just the one calling you out! And we all know you did wrong it's just some people don't want to come out and say it!
