Limited Runs: In '16 it was the BK20, in '17 the BK29. '18...??

I read an Ethan interview yesterday in which he stated the 4 and the 16 are his two favorite blades. They’re representative of his early and later design priorities.

It just so happens they are my favorite two Beckers as well. I’m pretty sure there is no knife task that couldn’t be done with those two knives.

I agree with the Kephart. Do these runs always involve 2 knives? If so, my dream is the kephart tweener, and how about the patrol machete, or a 1/4" thick BK4 maybe a little longer. I already have my BK4 and 16 on my chest rig as my 2 go to's, but a BK 4 2" inches longer and 1/4" thick would be sweet. It would still fit on my chest rig too. Make the Kephart 1" longer than the 16 and a true spear point, both with the factory micarta handles, and I'm in for 2 sets. No more thinking, whose in?

I have a 1/4 inch machax and by the time I get through reprofiling it so it will actually chop.... Well... it's going to be a Kabar Bk4
 
My guess is on the kephart in S35VN or some other super steel.

Mostly only saying S35VN because kabar already uses that. I don't care for D2 that much so I would hope it's not that.

CPM3V seems to be the trendy steel of the year maybe kabar will use that.

I think I would rather have a bk16 or bk16XL in a different steel.

While I love the bk4 and would love any new version of it, I think im more than happy with the ones I have now. Gee I only have 7 different versions.

New patrol machete would be cool. Updated bk9 would also be cool. I would love a new skeleton knife with a size between a bk11 and bk16. Any new tweeners or choppers would be awesome. Heck anything new from Ethan becker will be cool. I'm excited about the future of becker knives.

Haha I'm just saying if kabar came out with a more bushcrafty bk9 they would sell like crazy.

Marketing 101. Make an almost perfect product. Wait a few years, make it perfect. Sell it to the same people twice.

It would have no clip and no thumb ramp. It would of course also need to come with brown scales or micarta. Clear coated without the massive watermark would be nice. Give it that brown sheath from the failed Bk39.

Kabar would not only make new sales from new users that normally wouldn't buy a becker, they would also get idiots like me to buy a newer (better) version.

you know that i'm probably the last to know... KaBar has no interest in telling me, and they probably don't tell Ethan, cuz he blabs ;)

whoever trolls the KaBar website probably gets faster intel ;)
