Lineman skinner help

the biggest complaints about the klein blades was they are too small for really big cables and too thin, edge retention also was poor, they are difficult to sharpen. 3V is a good choice although not completely stainless.
 
We use Buckingham knives where I work. For the abuse they take I would never consider a handmade knife skinning a 13kv feeder. Besides the fact they are all rubber handles. But most of all. If I were to be caught using non-company issued tools..... Not good.

However, I have made usable replicas for guys as a retirement gift.
