I understand also how frustrating things can be when you aren't sure what's going on, but I'm either confused by this last sentence or the entire point of this thread---who DO you want to post? If it's only people who don't know Roger from Adam or people who know him but don't like him...okay, I can't even finish this sentence because I'm not following you. Not being a smartass, really, just confused as to what you want here.

I will say (as you know--remember our steel thread :) ) that I also have a WSK on order from him; I don't have it yet but I do have pictures of it--nearly complete and it looks very nice. Hope things get cleared up quickly and that you get your knife soon. :thumbup:

Maybe you should try calling or e-mailing Roger. This is between the two of you, not eveyone here!!! If you don't get ahold of him, "GUESS WHAT" you can try again my friend. You will get your knife no doubt! Roger is a good man. But until you have been totaly screwed out of your money and your knife for sure, keep it off of BF. This is a custom knife after all. Not a loaf of bread that gets delivered to the store every morning:jerkit:

Now that I have waded through all of the B.S., let me see if I have this correct.

ishiyumisan is upset due to the lack of communication from Roger Linger.

Has ishiyumisan attempted to contact Roger via telephone? (You do know what that is, right?)

Email contact can be spotty at best. Emails tend to get lost, bounce, or get inadvertantly deleted. It is best to contact people you are doing business with via a telephone, so you can speak to them directly. Try your best to make direct contact before taking further action.

Also, as discussed in great length here on the forums, you shouldn't give a knifemaker a deposit, unless he is using exotic, or one of a kind materials on your knife that he will not otherwise be able to use or sell if you cancel. This tends to squelch the knifemakers desire to get the knife done in a timely manner. There are many examples in TGB&U forum of just that.

ishiyumisan, I suggest that you contact Roger via telephone before you cancel, or otherwise give up your deposit and place in line.

I think I'd yell Troll if I knew any better..

as a side note where you bring it up.
as far as deposits, I take them for other reasons that I've said here on the forums not all makes make off with deposits..if they can't handle money I'm not sure they can handle much else,,, but it's preference on the makers side on the customers side he should be comfortable with the maker before he sends money, that I would think would or should be a kinder statement..

I don't have a problem giving some deposit money if asked. As long as the maker has a good reputation here or I personaly know him.

But ishiyumisan has been on a few threads now making these claims with very little or no proof. I'll say it again " IF YOU DON'T GET A HOLD OF THE MAKE THE FIRST or SECOND TIME YOU TRY, QUESS WHAT. YOU CAN TRY AGAIN"! But use the phone if there is a problem!!! HELLO:D

I had a long reply to this, but I'll defer that to another time.

We'll agree to disagree on the deposit subject, and leave it at that.
 
I can't believe anyone would not get a phone number in the first place :rolleyes: I wonder if he knows in his Language what the plank is?
like he don't know the Language he uses it ok in other posts went he wants too.:jerkit:
 
I'm haveing a custom made for me now and I have only had to e-mail the maker. But every time I e-mail him he gets back to me in minutes. So there hasn't been any problems. And when Roger made my WSK I had zero comunication problems!! I did give him a deposit but I always hang out in the makes forum and knew of his good rep. So I sent him the money. But I always get the stink'n phone number:cool:
