PG, Just when you think they could not get any better, BOOM! We have a winner! Unbelievable!

Just in today. Like most everybody else, I want another one. Very impressed.

Someone mentioned how nice the action is and I couldn't agree more. Reminds me a lot of the action on my Case/Bose collabs which I've always thought is superb.

Rick, I agree with you about the silky smooth action! Glad you were able to get a Carbon fiber!

jwh, really beautiful wood on yours! Nice pic!

Thanks Mark. She is smooth... and alluring. Certainly won't displace @pistonsandgears winning entry but it is truly unique and an elegant blade that I'm elated to own. Thank you Mike and LionSteel !!!

Mine finally arrived today. I'm very impressed. It's not the same as my typical traditional knives in the purest sense (ie; screw together construction), but it is a very well made knife. A nice blend of modern materials and traditional styling. Just the right size, very smooth walk and talk, and the Santos wood is very attractive as well. I think it's worth the price easily. And Mike included a very nicely made pocket slip. No negatives really from my perspective as I think it makes an excellent user for most folks. It's not a knife that you'll want to keep pristine as a collector in my opinion.

Very nice Bob! Should be fun to play with new covers too, don't you think? If I can get some shop time its what I'll be doing.
Real nice pics.

Thank you James and Mark.
Mark, most definitely. I need more recovery time following my most recent surgery, but rest assured, I'll be working something up eventually. I have some Micarta slabs as well as some burled wood already hanging around. Just need to get some measurements with my micrometers on the holes on the backside where they press onto the liners. I can do that at my desk and make up a draft so I'll be ready. :D

Sounds like a lot of fun and I hope you are able to get started soon Bob .

My screw OD was .0755, so a #48 bit should work.

Best of luck and heal up quick.

Thanks Bill. But if you look at the backside of the slabs, there are a series of holes that help align the slab to the liners.

Ahh, yep.
Thought you were talking about the hardware itself. Those holes are to allow for clearance for the pinned liners/blade. Aiding the aligning the slabs is either nice work on the engineering side, or a happy coincidence.
Either way, it is a nice touch.

For those pins/pivot, the actual readings are:
Rear pin: .1435 (both sides the same)
Center spring pivot: .147 (both sides the same)

Blade pivot: (both sides different)
(Bolt head/adjustable side): .252
(Back side): .2365

While I love my Ram's Horn, I wanted something more "Workaday", so I made these.

Black canvas micarta brought up to 5k, though I may roughen them a little, not sure yet.

Tomorrow I'll snap a pic of the inside if you folks want one. Looks like a stock handle, just one piece. Nothing fancy.

Did you drill all the precise hole locations on the backside, or did you just relieve much of it and let the screws line the covers up?
Looks great by the way Bill.
