hi fellow Shuffler & Roundhead fans, I have 3 now (2 RH & 1 Shuffler), and looking forward to the Dom (oh my). I have a question...I've always avoided covers that came off a dead animal, but am s o attracted to the blonde ram's horn on these, that I have to ask: does anyone know how and where the horn is sourced? thx in advance, these knives are amazing.

My bocote Shuffler arrived today. The right bolster is loose and rattling. Should I blue Loctite it, or just tighten it without the Loctite. Also they need to make a stainless framed version. This thing is very light.

Just tighten should be ok.
I would use blue loctite but very little.

Just tighten it. I caught a couple others that the factory missed a step of tightening - must have missed yours. Once tightened they will not be a problem.

My Bocote Shuffler arrived today. The F&F on mine seems perfect. The grain is much different than depicted in the photo provided by CK. However, I knew it would vary and had googled other examples of Bocote before I ordered. It's closer to those other photos... less cherry looking and with a distinct grain pattern. It's nice knife and I like it a lot as far as first impressions are concerned. Took a while for me to get one but it's finally here :)

If they put out a double with the precision and same pattern, given the ability to “disassemble” one could possibly interchange blades to suit their needs.... spear/ clip & sheepsfoot during the week, blade & cap lifter for the weekend?

I love this idea!!!!

Anyone think if there is a dual blade pattern, it would look good with a top and bottom bolster?

I know that a 4-blade pattern, with clip blade, coping blade, cap lifter and awl, would look mighty good with both a top and bottom bolster. And run a bail through one of those bolsters.

I think a two blade version should stay a Barlow.

However, I agree that a scout/camp knife should at least have two bolsters.

I had an empty storage locker. Had to explain 4 times what I was talking about. Eventually I was told I had an attitude. OK, mam. “I wouldn’t be having this conversation or on my 4th explanation, if you had done your job right.” Wow. Just wow.

As to my knife. It’s done well. No gaps or issues whatsoever with my example. The CF is done well like last time. Another great example of modern material slip-joint knives.
