I don't know what kind of lubricant they used, but every one had it - some visible - some not so much.

Finally got my "white" CF version today. I love the profile of these knives, especially how round and fluid they feel overall, but the white CF seems more along the lines of silver twill--which isn't that big of a deal.
Did anyone else's Shuffler come with Kopr Kote around the pivot and tang? Basically looks like a copper colored lube, which is strange because we use the stuff in the fields for heavy duty plumbing and pipe connections.
Since no one else chimed in; with horn I'm guessing nothing is killed for it. Some animals(maybe all, No expert) drop their antlers/horns every now and then so yeah.hi fellow Shuffler & Roundhead fans, I have 3 now (2 RH & 1 Shuffler), and looking forward to the Dom (oh my). I have a question...I've always avoided covers that came off a dead animal, but am s o attracted to the blonde ram's horn on these, that I have to ask: does anyone know how and where the horn is sourced? thx in advance, these knives are amazing.
They are pretty evenly matched up, the other side is slightly lighter in colour about the same in texture;

I use to like frog lube but from my experience it will gum up in the long run. At one time I ran it on all my guns except for AR’s . It’s great for coating a blade thoughThat lubricant looks a lot like thermal compoundalso ist didn't work that great imo, flushed it out with Isopropanol and added lithium-grease to one and froglube to the other, way better

I have it mainly for coating tool and carbon steel blades I don't carry/use often to protect them but thought I'd give it a shot as greaseI use to like frog lube but from my experience it will gum up in the long run. Haha I've been tempted to try this myself. I hesitated on the abalone and still kicking myself for that to this day. Need to find me one of those. Great examples of 2 very different handles there!!
Here with a GEC 74 for comparison:
I'm a little confused about the pull rating, though, and this was the same for me on the first roundhead run. It's rated as a 6 on the website. Historically tracking, it seems to me like Mike's pull tolerance is higher than mine, meaning he'll rate something a 6 that I would call a 7. But this knife and my old roundhead are what I would call a light 4. They're lighter than the forum TCs, and those got rated a 5, I think? Perhaps this is better for the market - most non-knife-nuts that I let check out my slip joints get scared to open and close them, and the heaviest pull I usually tolerate is a 7.
the Shuffler's pull is just a bit softer than the SAK but feels good.
My Gen1 Roundhead was just a tad softer in pull than a Vic Pioneer. If a Pioneer is a 5 (that's the correct pull standard?), my Roundhead is like a 4.5. My new Shuffler has almost the exact same pull as Pioneer, but maybe more fluid. I think it's easy to perceive the lack of friction in these knives as a soft pull, when that really isn't so. My shuffler is also incredibly crisp when snapping into both the half stop and full position.
It depends how you look at themView attachment 853247 View attachment 853248 They can be mixed or matched.
Anything next to the 74 is probably going to feel light, too. That thing is a 6.5 on the first leg and an 8 on the second/closing.
