Meh...
Not a fan of the removable disc and flipper tab. It's like it wants to be innovative...

Nice looking design, but knowing Lionsteel, it will probably be pretty expensive.
I'm guessing around $400-$500+

I'm glad we have another high-quality flipper with a 3" blade. The only other one I have is the Rod Olson Quick Flick / M9 and my copy with the LSCF inlay was $485. I'm guessing the TRE would be about $400.

The lines of the overall design are a mess. Quite the departure from their other offerings.

Me likes. Perfect size for me as well. I'm not sure about that sedge though...I wish it was reverse of what it is (tip to middle instead of middle to pivot end)

This is pretty genius from a manufacturing standpoint. Now they can tool up for a single blade that is both appealing to EU (remove the flipper and disk for two handed opening) and US buyers (obsessed with one handed opening, specifically flippers).

Ideally, I wish ALL knives could be manufactured this way.

Def. on my radar. Better start saving now...

I picked up both a Hijinx and TiSpine this past year. Have to add this one to the list, as well.

Like the blade shape and grind, but I agree with Blues Bender. If I don't want a flipper....I'll get a knife without one.
Don't tell anyone. But if you don't put it on, it won't have one. ;)

Misanthropia is correct. The T.R.E. doesn't "want" to be innovative, it actually "is" innovative. Having said that, there's just one little problem with it . . .

Sadly, I have to agree. A TiSpine it is not.

True, but then don't make me pay for the part and the screw and the design work and CAD then went into making the thing I dont want.

But if someone wants to switch between flipper/no flipper...I guess its great.

I guess looking it from a legality aspect some might think its innovative, but I don't at all. To me, it's like those revolvers with "interchangable cylinders", it's just goofy...

I'm too much of a purist. I wouldn't want extra screws all over my knife, even lock bar inserts/lock bar stabilizers are pushing it for me.

Plain and simple,
if I won't use the feature, I don't want it there.
