List of thin blade liner-lock/frame-lock folders (<0.12")

I don't really mind that there a a bunch of thick folders out there. I could understand the concept of Medford Praetorian, and why some people like it, even though I will never buy it.

What I would like to see in the near future is more choices of thin folders, especially framelock folders. I am sure that modern manufacturers can make them and make them well, evidenced by some knives in the list.

If you know or can measure the thickness behind the edge of the knives on the list, please post.
I will add that info to the list together with the type of blade grind.
Thank you in advance!

There was a Boker Urban Trapper sprint run through a non-paying vendor that was made with s35vn.

I know the Urban Trapper is in the list, but I figured you might want to include this model for informational purposes.

Thank you, NJBillK. I added that steel for Urban Trapper.

I previously requested info regarding edge thickness of knives listed in the 1st page. What I would like to do is to make rough models of the blades, which may be useful to judge whether a knife is a slicer or not.

Below is the blade shape models of few knives I own, from thinnest to thickest. They are based on my measurements.
For FFG blades, perfectly flat ground shapes were assumed, and straight lines were drawn to leave the thickness behind the edge.
For hollow ground blades (and convex), I made measurements at different points on a blade and adjusted the curves to the measured thicknesses. I did not make the curves semicircular, which would be assumed from the use of a wheel grinder for hollow grind. So the curves may not accurately reflect the shapes of the hollow ground blades.
The blade stock thickness of each knife indicates the thickness where the blade width is around 1" (with the exception of Opinel), but not at the thickest part.

Wow...
This thread was a fantastic reference, but the new setup has wreaked havoc on it.

Sorry to bring up the bad news Miso.

Hey NJBillK,

I did not notice that you posted in this thread, too. As you already know, the table in the 1st post has been exported to Google Docs.

To everyone interested in this thread, I still welcome info regarding thin blade stock folding knives and their edge thicknesses!
Thank you,

This is interesting info. I'm glad it resurfaced.

In the slightly smaller category, I have a Boker Gent 1 in Damascus. Liner lock, Ebony scales. With a 3" cutting edge, 3.25" tip to handle. Stock at the spine is 0.079" (taken behind the thumb studs). And 0.006" behind the edge. Hollow ground.

And it's twin, the Colt CT591 is a tad thicker. Liner lock, D2, hollow grind. Reading 0.089" stock, 0.029 behind the edge.

Thank you for the info, bflying!
I will add them to the list.
The Boker Gent 1 is quite impressive, especially its edge thickness!
