Im pretty sure I cant choose three as my most favorite but I will list three which I enjoyed immensely and can watch again and again, which is rare for me since I hate watching movies over again.

1.Fightclub
2.Blackhawk Down
3.Kung Fu hustle

Just added a listing of those movies with two or more hits from this thread, take a peek in the First post of this thread :)

and yeah, Kung Fu Hustle is pretty funny ;)

Numbers as of Feb 8, 2008, 171 movies sorted to show those
with 2 or more hits:

# Movies
7 Shawshank Redemption
4 Blade Runner
4 Cool Hand Luke

All right! CHL is my favorite movie (can you tell by my username?). I really love the attitude and the willingness of the protagonist to buck the system. The title character is totally opposite of who I am; I am definitely a conformer. I sure do envy his spirit.

n2s, I completely forgot about 2001 A Space Odyssey...was and will always be one of the greatest Sci-Fi's ever made.

Good listing there btw!

Interesting to see 'The Princess Bride' up there. It's definately one of my favourites, but not quite in my top three at the moment.

I'm a movie nut as well as a knife knut. I've never counted my DVD's, but I've got a lot and I've got over 3.5TB (that's 3500 gigabytes) of movies on my AV server. Most of that is High Def stuff though that runs at up to 30GB per movie.

Top three? Hmm... Varies according to my mood and the weather but at the moment:

King Arthur (the recent 2004 one)
Aliens (Director's cut)
Legend (the Tom Cruise one, Director's cut with Gerry Goldsmith soundtrack. Completely different to the other version)

It's really not easy choosing three. Other real fave's, ones that keep me riveted no matter that I've seen them twenty times, include:

Ladyhawke
Ronin
Shooter
Blade Runner (Ultimate Cut)
The Thing
The Fog
The Stand
Hidden
The Princess Bride
Dog Soldiers
Star Wars (all)
Star Trek First Contact
Lord of the Rings (all)
Tremors
Dark Star
Armageddon
Blackhawk Down
Conan The Barbarian
The Good The Bad and the Ugly

I'll happily watch a movie I like over and over, and really get into the 'feel' of it. Unfortunately, my wife really hates that. Fortunately, I have a nice LCD TV in my 'man' room!

foxyrick, I know what you mean, my wife also doesn't share my fondness of movie
watching, there are MANY that I'd like to list as well, one that came to mind
"Life or something like it" with Angelina Jolie, funny movie...:)
and with your vote, Aliens moves up to 3 hits...
