Little Black Dress..

I've recently heard that the BK 7 is often seen as the "little black dress" of the Becker line,
(I expect due to it's versatility and popularity)

Was wondering, what are the other knives seen has?

-_- I was expecting due to the title, to see pictures of a black leather and kydex sheath.. The Bk2 is a do-it-all for certain.

I already know those, it's Chris Tanners's fault that I started buying Beckers,
I currently own four,

BK&T KA-BAR should be paying that guy a commission for all the money he has made them in sales,
No one person (outside of Becker himself) has done so much for those knives,

But I thought his naming was exclusive to him, I didn't know it extended to the rest of the Becker community,
(but like I said, it would only be fair that he did receive some sort of recognition)

First, I'm happy you found your way to BK&T. The path doesn't really matter. That said, there is some back story with this guy, his tactics for procuring knives from Ka-Bar, and his reactions when things did not go the way he planned. That is all I'll say. Some of this history can be found with searches, but I'd really rather not (a) give him any more press and (b) stir up old news. I think many folks here feel the same way.

As for people who have done a lot for Becker knives? Moosez45 and Bladite come to mind. Bladite set up the shop here. Moose made it pop with his enthusiasm and additions and has sold a LOT of knives for BK&T. (I'm just here for comic relief, and Derek is our token West Virginian).

A quick note: It's hard to get tone and intent via internet posts. That fact cuts across readers and posters and is important to remember.

Haha...... This makes me laugh everytime I hear someone say this. You are listening to his words if you believe all that.

But welcome to the Becker forum, this is a great place with great people. You can learn a lot here, I know I sure have.

And there is a reason that guy doesn't hang around here anymore. Don't think he's posted in like two years.

As Guyon has said, there is a whole back story on crap that he has pulled and done that is just not exceptable within the Beckerhead community. That's all I'm gonna say.

But again, welcome, this is an awesome place to hang out and we are glad to have ya.

This^^

I think Ethan and all the guys who post and contribute to this awesome forum have sold more knives than any one.

There are a ton YouTube knife videos on Becker knives by many different people. Anyone of them may be the first person to intrude a new comer to the Becker brand. That's a good thing. Then most end up here and that's where they really get into them.

I believe E2E's video in the BK2 is what inspired me to go ahead and get one. Once I got it, I found the forum and the addiction began. Do you think Adam shoud get credit for me now owning at least 50 BK's in my personal collection, not to mention that I liked the knives and Ethan and his community so much, that I am now a dealer?

The path does matter, if that guy had not been a fan of Becker in the first place, I would not have bought the knives (Becker) that I have,

Then you go on too say you would "really rather not (a) give him any more press and (b) stir up old news." then DO just that!,

The facts? What are the real facts, (I'm guessing that Chris is responsible for more knife sales global via youtube than all the people you have mentioned (no offense to you guys, but there is no way you will get the traffic YouTube gets, and U iz not the center of teh Interwebs)

As for tone and intent, I give people the doubt until proven otherwise,

I'll give you a quick break down, I have seen a lot of ugly shit in this world,
Seen places where people have real problems, after that it makes the petty concerns of some people come across as the bitching of spoilt brats, (seeing shit has a habit or recalibrating your yardstick that way,)

So I tend to keep the serious for the things that really matter,
And humor for everything else, (even sometimes the serious shit as well)

So assume humor...

As a courtesy, I gave you enough information to understand some reactions in this thread. I did not mention the guy's name or link to anything connected to him. If that's "press," then we have very different ideas about press.

People who argue for the sake of arguing seldom last long around these parts. Nor do folks here tolerate know-it-alls or tough guys very well. You've already seen how people react to your YouTube reference. If you want to keep pressing those buttons, that's up to you, but it will not be well met in this context.

Well hello Mr. Tanner...

Haha...... This makes me laugh everytime I hear someone say this. You are listening to his words if you believe all that.

Really?, what do you think he has said?,
I'm not regurgitating some party line but stating my own opinion,

But welcome to the Becker forum, this is a great place with great people. You can learn a lot here, I know I sure have.

It's meant to be fun and interesting, when that stops I'll be gone..

And there is a reason that guy doesn't hang around here anymore. Don't think he's posted in like two years.

I don't care why, or that he did,
But I can see there is a type of social clique here,
That could be a major turn off to many people,
You draw negative attention if you don't "fit in"

As Guyon has said, there is a whole back story on crap that he has pulled and done that is just not exceptable within the Beckerhead community. That's all I'm gonna say.

Okay, let's assume your opinion is valid,
Does that affect the sales he is responsible for?
Nope,

You may not like what he has done,
You may not like him as a person,
But you can't deny the sales he has made happen,

This^^

Too be fair, yeah, Adam has done his bit as well,
Credit where credits due,

You claimed you did not want to draw more attention, then went out of your way too do just that,
You don't see what's wrong with that picture,

As for arguing, if someone says something about me that's not true, expect me to clarify the situation,

I'm not a know it all, nor a tough guy,
But bigots tend to fill in the blanks and think it's fact, (then get upset when the truth breaks the illusion)

I can't be responsible for other people's reactions, nor will I jump through hoops,
I will not conform to your clique,

I'm not here to "troll" or start trouble, etc, etc, etc,
(in fact the contrary is true)

I have tried to clarify certain people's fears/issues, to no avail, (cuz the facts don't fit your agenda right?)

I'm guessing there are people that visit but don't post here....I can see why,

I like some Beckers but will never worship at the cult of Becker,
I like some people here, but not all the people here,

I have spent too much time already dealing with other people's baggage here,
Baggage you don't want to fix, because you think you don't have too,

You don't value sane, reasonable, valid comment,
But only conformity to the clique,

That's a downward spiral.....

Yeah....I can see how you would think that....(or you wouldn't have posted that comment)

Trust me, it does...
No, for me to think that, it says much more about you. I'll leave it at that. You seem to be very good at digging your own holes.
A little suggestion - do a little research into the FACTS (not opinions) of what the guy did to piss everyone off. Mmmmkay?

Really?, what do you think he has said?,

Anthony, I will say it again, Welcome to the Becker Forum. You are a fan of Becker knives, so we are glad to have you and accept you into our little corner of the internet.

The group here is one of the most welcoming and nicest group of guys I have ever seen, period. Has a lot to do with What a great person Ethan is. He really does seem to attract the best of the best.

It is not hard to fit in here at all. That's a fact. You have been here a total of 10 days already. Some guys have been here for over 15 years building this awesome community to what it is today. I am proud to be part of it and call my self a Beckerhead. Most of these guys have developed life long friendships with each other and we stick up for our own. If you stick around long enough, you will see how easy it is to get to know these people on a personal level.

I consider Ethan a friend and when someone says stuff that may seem disrespectful to him, I have a real problem with that, as well as my fellow Beckerheads.

So is there a type of social clique here? Maybe, but anyone is welcome to join in, just respect the members that have been here before you and play by the rules.

You saw the response you got when you brought up C_T. Then you continued to go on and on praising the guy and sticking up for him on a forum where he has burnt many bridges.
There is more to the story than you need to know, but trust me when I say our opinion of the guy is well deserved. He has acted in ways that no Beckerhead should.

And I know exactly what he has said about claiming to have sold millions, (ok, millions may be exaggerated, lol) of Beckers and that he thinks he is owed something for it. I have seen it in his posts of FB and in his VIDs.

There are so many things he has said or done to people that I know first hand experience of, that I believe I know more than what you think you know about the situations.

And for that Guy to disrespect Ethan Becker multiple times, was the last straw for me. Until he publicly apologizes for all the crap he has pulled trying to make himself look good to his youtube viewers, then I will continue to feel the way I do about his tactics and the BS he has pulled. And when people keep bringing him up here after all he has done, we kinda get tired of it and defensive.

If you like him, I have no problem with that at all. He obviously has a following which is great for him. I am glad he turned you on to BK&T! Just realize he is a touchy subject around here and lots of guys have been offended of his actions, so please just respect how the community feels.

Ain't gonna be too much more slap fighting going on here...

Might wanna wrap it up.

Moose

YOU!......YOU!.......YOU SHUT UP!.......YOU!

(But to be fair, why not Becky and Jess?, the guy shifted more Beckers than anyone else I know, or do you know something I don't?....)

actually, he's probably not the poster child of the century. shifting beckers? how has he managed in a short period of time what people haven't been doing in 30 years?

you now who's shifted more Beckers since time was time? Kabar. they are not the first people selling them, but they are the best.

at a convention like Blade, we moved HUNDREDS of knives in 2-3 days. hundreds. nice, huh?

also, i don't think anybody but Chris call's them girl names. we have older names.

hell, if anyone deserves a commission, the line starts behind my double wide butt :D

"A clique" - here? As a viewer for sometime and one of the newest Beckerhead I can say this place has been more than welcoming, always ready to help and offer free useful heart felt advice to all, never judging of a 'daft question' and best of all fun to interact with! Sure there is some friendly banter, but all open to all regardless of country, language or nationality!
