Little But Tasty

Those are so small it looks like child fish Porn. Get those photos off your hard drive!

Spent a couple of hours down at the Stones River today. Caught my limit (7), but when I pulled up the stringer to put my last fish on, two were missing!

And they were two of the larger fish.

I have no idea what happened.

I swear I wasn't even drinking.

Anyway, the remaining five will be tasty tomorrow when lightly battered and pan-fried.

I'm gonna have to catch me an alligator garr and put this FBM to use!

I'd like to see you try and eat an alligator gar. :D The usefulness of the FBM would be in beating the creature to death as it tried to bite off your arm.

Tony G, when you catch some bigger fish, please post them up.

Sorry Guyon,

I was just joking, and I'm sorry if I offended you about your catch.

What did I miss? I hope you know I was just giving you some crap back. We're not going to get all touchy-feely on this board, are we? :D

Hey, those fish are small. So bring the heat. But then, they're stocked trout, and most aren't going to live past May/June when the water temp starts to go up. So you eat 'em when you catch 'em. No size limit.

They sure were tasty though. As small as they were. :p

Besides, the point of this thread was that I finally used my Busse ultra-rare, ground-by-Jerry-himself fillet knife.

Oh well I was just saying that it would be understandable that you would be touchy about things you have being small. :o

Why would I be touchy? Mine's about the size of that medium trout. Hint: the fillet board is marked in inches. :D

Silly man, I gave you the unit of measure so you could do the conversion.

9 inches is 228 mm.

Excuse me, I think my Mensa rep is calling me...

Hey.... ever interested in this kind of fishing? Fly or light casting rods.

I NEED to go again this year (well I need to check the run numbers first on the Togiak River)

Now here we have some real fishermen!! My grandfather, also a great fisherman, would be proud of you.

He could drop a string with an open safety pin into a river...and come up with fish (multiple!). What a man!

The meal always tastes better when you've caught it yourself.
