Okay, I know I have a little bit of a reputation for liking a certain small two blade jack. One may even, with very little exaggeration, say that I have a moderate prejudice toward that certain small jack. Moderate. Well, moderate enough that there's a tiny bit of a cult following.

But...

I really do realize that there are other jacks around, so I was wondering. Just what 'other' small two blade jacks to you favor. There's the mini trapper, the tiny toothpick, the pen, the the mini copperhead, small Texas jack.

So, what do ya'll carry that's 3 1/4 or less?

Carl.

The toothpick has always been a favorite for me so I'd have to say that and the pen seem to dominate my small jack collection (of course that isnt to say I dont have a certain small two blade jack that follows a certain cult per se)

I don't think I've ever had a little deuce. They are generally larger deuces...like full size trappers.

I have some of those two blade jacks that you speak of Carl but I don't carry them. Most of my sub 3 1/4 inch knives are single blades. The only two blade small knives that I have carried to any extent are a Parker Pen knife at 3 inches closed and a German Eye brand half congress at 2 5/8 inches closed.

I haven't carried either of those for some time now but they are both great little companions.

I've been carrying this 22087 for the last two or three weeks.

My first knife was a Camillus made Buck Lancer (model #305 i think?) It's a good little urban EDC blade.
Sometimes I'm still a little partial to carry it. It makes the peanut feel like a tank.
All in all for a small little pen... i've been bitten by the small Vic SAK bug. So tiny yet so handy! Inexpensive, well made, friendy, useful - what's not to love?

Well, aside from four Peanuts, I also rotate through a Case pen and medium jack, a Vic Pocket Pal, an old Imperial jack that belonged to my grandpa, an old Schrade 33OT, and a Buck 309. I'm waiting on another 309 and a 305 to appear next. I kind of have a thing for small two-blade knives.

The Case Medium Jack accompanies my peanut a lot of the time. The third pic in Railsplitter's post is the exact same knife.

This thread has me drooling over the case medium jack and mini copperhead. But I just spent all my money on some Arkansas stones so I can't get either :(

I think a good chunk of my collection is in that size, including those very popular 2 bladed jacks that are named after the ground nut in the legume family :D I count 7 of those in my collection, along with other watch pocket friendly jacks like the tiny trapper (2), pocket hunter, toothpick and small gunstock. Add in a mini-half congress, a Butterbean and a Buck 305 Lancer and that rounds out my 2 bladed little 'un's that are 3" or less.

The mini-Copperhead is a sweet pattern too, but I'm a sucker for wharncliffe's. It's a regular for work, it's a small knife environment.
Cheers,
Griff

Oh yeah, throw in the GEC Conductor too. I think my White Owl it a little bigger than 3 1/4, like my small Texas Jack. 3 1/2 seems to be my favorite size along with the little watch pocket knives.

Carl, I just don't carry anything smaller than a 3 3/8" Barlow,
but here's my favorite little Deuce!!

My smallest, most comfortable knife would have to be my GEC conductor. Once went a month using only that one for a contest and have loved it ever since.

Besides my yellow "Nut in CV that would be:

1. Tiny Texas Toothpick (yellow in CV)
2. Vic Rambler
3. Vic Classic
4. Opinel no.5

All through high school I carried a Schrade 33OT Middleman Jack very much like the one in this pic ...

BuckSchrade.jpg

It was stolen from my dorm room in college (I'm still  about that!). The one in this pic was my grandfathers. It's very special to me for that reason, but he never carried it. When he died, it was still new in the box. See, he lost an arm in combat in WWII and never carried a folder after that. But he used to volunteer at an elementary school and the teachers there gave it to him as a gift. I carry it from time to time and if -- God forbid  -- something ever happened to my peanut, I'd probably go back to toting this one. At least until I could afford a GEC White Owl.

But for 3 1/4" I would rather my Stockmans

or
Stockman Burke, Canal, Case CV, Case Small

That black delrin-scaled jack that Railsplitter showed is a nice little knife. I've had one for quite a while, but haven't carried it lately. I like its simplicity. I don't recall seeing any other Case folders with this handle material. I may just have to awaken mine from its slumbers.
