Hey guys- :)

This was going to be a "black knife" with a machine finished blade and black Micarta handle... but... well, you know. ;) LOL :)

Forged 1084 blade with hand-rubbed, "two-tone" clip to bevel finish. Arched 416 ss guard with mirror polished scallops and inside lugs. Stabilized Australian Sheoak handle with domed, 416 ss pin.

OAL-15-1/8"
Blade- 10-1/8" long X 1-9/16" wide X 1/4" thick.

IMHO, it's very light and fast. Thanks for checking it out! :)

I just noticed this photo makes it look like there is a line just above the plunge, which would be a pretty typical flaw in a hand-ground blade, but it's actually a shadow. I took the photo turned the other way, then rotated it in photoshop. Hopefully you could see in the video that there is no line there. :)

Beautiful work as always!! That thing wouldn't have lasted two seconds at Blade this past weekend. Glad you were able to make the trip, really enjoyed having you around the table and just hanging out afterwards, it meant a lot.

Oh and by the way no one thinks that there is a line on one of your blades that you havent put there on purpose.:D Each one as flawless as the one before.

Nick,

Yet another immaculate Wheeler Blade! Yes, if you'd had it at Blade, there'd have been a pile-up waving cash at you.

(Quesenberry. Update that sig-line!)

That wood is pretty cool as is the flawless way you execute your handles and guards.

lol! Do I ever know what you're talking about!

Thanks fellas!!! :)

Tad- It was GREAT to finally meet you face to face! I really enjoyed getting to spend some time bs'ing with you, and am an even bigger fan of your work now that I have had a chance to see firsthand that it looks as brilliant in hand as it does in photos, as well as FEELS so good in hand!!!

Okay Mr. Quesenberry (pronounced QUIZ-en-berry for the uninformed! ;))... we had the discussion about no flawless knives!!! :grumpy: :p :D

I probably could have had this one done for BLADE, but I didn't have a table and didn't want to get labeled as a brown bagger. :thumbdn: I was just so frick'n happy to get to be able to spend time behind Mike's table with his Ms test knives and wandering around seeing/making friends, that I was as giddy as a school girl. :D

Marc- I thank you much, but if you want to see how high that bar has been set, please check out pics of the work that my friends like Mike Q, John White, Russ Andrews, John Horrigan.... (the list goes onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn....) put out!!! It is extremely humbling to see what these fine men create!!!

Cajun- I believe what you have there is not a little pig sticker, rather a little pig that has been stuck! :p :D Rest assured, this blade would be up for such a sticking as well as a bit bigger one. ;) :)

Maybe a "little pig sticker" for The Mountain on Game of Thrones......:p

for most conventional mortals it's probably not little....but having handled a number of your knives I know it is light and lively nonetheless

Not only is the handle one of your usual beauties, but I like the way you oriented the grain of the wood to maximize/highlight the flow

Nick,
That is one fine Bowie Blade and I love that flame in the handle wood.
I Replied with Quote so we wouldn't have to go back to the top to see your excellent work!

Cool knife Nick. Wish I got to meet you finally. Hopefully some year our paths will cross.

Your post above is the most colorful mix of bi-polar emoticons i've seen posted anywhere!
