Little Rock - Let's see what you're bringing!

A Damascus clamshell ring guard integral I'm bringing. A 9" blade with a raised Ebony insert.

Here's a couple I'll have:

If you get the chance to swing by and see this Koa - please do!!
It is really off the map. It's fantastic.

And this is about everything I'd want a hunter to be:
(It has a mirror polished spine and choil)

Here's a camp knife I'll be bringing...1075 and ebony.

And a fighter with ironwood. There'll be more at the show...not sure if I'll get to posting them. Hopefully a damascus hunter and a tapered-tang or two.

I'm looking forward to coming by your table. VERY NICE!

See you soon.

Gary

Ron Newton; your mind is truly unleashed!
Constraints? Ain't no such a thing :)

Ben Seward; I am infatuated with that cute little chopper :)

Our good friend, Mark Farley of Burl Source, had some curly stabilized Mango that I just had to try out.
It did NOT! disappoint!
Really nice stuff.
I milled a couple pieces and slapped 'em on a Damascus Brute de Forge with a mirror polished spine and 420 Stainless "frosted" bolsters.
If you pick this thing up in Little Rock - be careful! (It's sharp!)
Not to mention that it's just sweet to hold. ;)

And one for the "Push" crowd and/or Silver Wire fanatic:
(Take-down - of course. :D)
W2 with natural hamon.
Mammoth Ivory finial cover.

(I can not explain the distortion on the "Andersen" stamp in the photo. It's fine.)

Here's another little beast in blackwood...'Presentation Tactical';) It'll be available at the show, if it makes it that far. I snapped a quick pic before
sending it to the leather shop. Still needs a bit of fine tuning but I have to give Dad a chance. I'll try to post some better pics after the show with
the leather...Dad has some really nice stuff coming out

It is great to see so many makers showing their knives for this show. I know that many will submit their knives for awards as they should. I feal that the knives that are submitted for an award should honestly be for sale or a pic up order for this show. It is widely known that many makers are sending a lot of their work out of this country. Most of this work will never be seen by anyone ever again. It is my opinion that the makers that are doing this are just hurting other makers. I do not care how good your work is if it is not for sale at a reasonable price not your price out of this country it should not be submited for an award.

Man oh man there are some fine knives posted so far!
Here are some I'll be bringing. Pardon the poor pics, bet Chuck will be able to make look better.

The wife and I are looking forward to some 60+ degree weather in a couple days. See y'all there.

One last knife for the Table this week-end. All I gotta do is file-work those accent spacers first thing tomorrow morning, and pack up!

7 3/4 inches of Feather Damascus, amber stag, and stainless fittings. Hey, Pappy Long, here's some more work for you!

See you guys Friday. Anybody going to the Museum?

John

The Last Two, i sent the 4 big ones fed ex on monday, so I made a feather key hole with walnut and had just enough steel left to make a push dagger. I was sweeting bullets when I riveted it together but I was lucky and the ivory did not crack. I still need to etch the cap This is my first push dagger please come by my table and check it outpd1.jpgpd2.jpgpd3.jpgkey2.jpgkeyh1.jpg see you all friday sorry about the poor pics

Ken, sorry your not going to make it.

Not as sorry as I am. I think this and other threads here are showing even more high quality knives at this year's show than in recent shows which have been great. This one may be difficult to top.

I have spent more than a couple of minutes over the past 48 hours trying to figure out if there way to catch a last minute flight on Friday to Little Rock and get back on Sunday and meet the other responsibilities I have. Just does not look to be in the cards.

Sheesh, I'm glad I don't have to compete with these bowies! You guys have really stepped up your game.

Lisch, you are insane! I love that tine dagger!
