Little Rock - Let's see what you're bringing!

Kyle, that is one of the nicest knives that I have seen in a long time. Everything just flows and I just love the long clip. Awesome work and great photography from Caleb!

Tad, two very nice pieces. I especially like the CF handle on the fighter, just the right material in my opinion for a knife like that and it also looks good on tacticals.

Awesome stuff posted! I'm really looking forward to the show.

Full integral damascus fighter. Carbon fiber handle, cf pins.

Here's a little, thin knife. I was kind of thinking Herron Model 12'ish. Interior mammoth, si bronze pins.

That stag bowie is awesome, love the feather on the buttcap too and the sheath gets really set off by the damascus stud. It's the little things like that that just make a knife feel right and complete. Lovin the guard shape too.

The tacticals looks great Tad, especially the small mammoth one. I'd say all of these are gonna find homes pretty easily.

This is killer looking Tad, the photos looked good of what you sent me but all finished up looks great. The blade looks pretty long - 10 inch +?

Rick, I'm really liking working with carbon fiber. I love the look and enjoy the way it works. I also turned a CF frog for the sheath.

Philip, The blade is 9.25". I think because the profile is more slender it appears longer. Overall length is 14.25".

Thanks,

Tad

Awesome stuff by everyone. All of the knives in this thread look great. The new additions from Ron, Kyle and Tad are outstanding!

It's a bummer for anyone, like me, missing this show and getting to see all these great knives up close.

Thanks for posting them here guys.

Yea I thought it was a good inch longer than mine. Looks great.

I like the carbon fibre frog too, that is cool. I like that when the sheath continues elements and isn't just it's own stand alone piece.

Look like it will be a fantastic show, I wish I could make it! I hope the makers sell out!

None of this is surprising. Thanks for the update! Congrats Ron! If you didn't win best damascus I would have been shocked.

Thanks Jonathan for the kind words. It was an honor to have my peers cast their votes for my work. That's why the Arkansas show awards are so special. It's not just a bias panel of 3 or 4 judges voting. It's every table holder.
I'd like to mention that Gary Crowder won the honorable award for sharing with the knife community so much knowledge in his shop with other makers. I believe this was the Vernon Hicks memorial award. Someone correct me if I got the name wrong. And Art knife was actually won by Jerry McLure.

Congratulations to all the award winners. The knives on display for the awards were unbelievable. Ron thanks for mentioning Gary Crowder, I have been on the receiving end of Gary's kindness and generosity. Gary has given of his time, talents and more to many makers, some ABS Mastersmiths.

There were a ton of knives! I didn't get a chance to take a picture of all the categories, but here is what I did take. I had to use my camera on my phone, since I forgot to bring my camera in. So my pictures don't do them justice, but man they were great works of art.

Congrats to the winners! You guys had amazing knives. ;)

Congrats to the Winners and the same to all the collectors who will acquire fine knives at the show.

After the show today we went to see the bowie exhibition!

You guys will see one more post of pictures from me tomorrow, if you want to see them. Just random pictures from the show. I'll actually have my camera with me, so they will be better pictures. :D
