Last week, I came home to see a small package sitting by the door....not unusual.
It was from Kamloops, Canada....a little less usual.
It was from Frank Niro....OK, That got my attention.
It was a gift from him as a "Thank You".

Here are some photos of the nicest folder I have seen in a while. The workmanship is superb. My wife came over to look at it....picked it up, and said, "I think that is for me.....it is a gal's knife." ( I got it back).
The carved MOP is much more stunning than the photos show. The spine even has MOP inlaid in it. The thumb stud has a sapphire, and the heat coloring of the blade and bolsters really is something. The file work speaks for itself.

All I cam say more than that is, "Thank you ,Frank!"

That IS one beautiful knife and thanks to Frank for expressing a sentiment that we all share. Truly a nice gesture.

Frank is pretty amazing. He sent me some glass for my platen. He wouldn't accept payment, or even let me pay the shipping. I have something in mind to say thank you to him :)

I've had some dealings with Frank in the past. Top of the line gentelman from my experience!!

Very nice looking knife, sent to a deserving home!

Not only a fine knifemaker, but a kind and helpful person.
Thanks for the chance to see more of his great work!

Good people here! Frank that is very cool.

You really deserve it Stacy, thanks for all that you do!

Wow is right! From one true gentleman to another.

Thank you both for all that you handle here with such grace and patience. That beautiful piece is well deserved!

Thanks for putting it up Stacy, and thanks to you all for expressing your appreciation. Yes for sure Stacy deserved getting it.
I sure do enjoy the members in this forum. Frank

Frank, I took this to my friend who is a good knifemaker and a big collector. He probably has 1000 folders, from just about every well known maker. He looked at the knife and his eyes bugged out.
Thanks again to you and to all the great guys in Shop Talk.
