Not sure how well this will work as I'm running into problems but will try to post some images from the show and maybe get some interactivity but the connection seems to be acting up and I have been unable to open multiple windows to make adding photos work properly.

Bob Crowder of Thompston Falls, MT did 20 pearl handled hunters as club knives.

there are a few Canadian knifemakers on had for this show and some are award winners. I have not checked to see if Roger Hatt of Ederby BC was one of them but he and his wife have many fine knives on display

so as to not create problems with the official show photographer Bladegallery.com, all images have been made with the lighting conditions of the room so the results are not the best but hopefully acceptable

a Turkish style folder by Roger Hatt

Roger uses Robert Eggerling heat colored damascus for most of his folders blades and bolsters. Here is a carved pearl handled piece

David Lisch a fairly new maker from Seattle Wa, won the best Bowie (see S Guard) Award as I recall and a photo hopefully will be available later. Meantime here are some knives to show his work and he does have a website at ww.davidlisch.com

Ray Richards a regular to this group as I recall has some knives and also this morning did a forging of the dagger demo outdoors. some of those photos will have to be posted later but first a few of his pieces on his table

and a few more -- if anyone wishes to add comments as this whole process is going on, please feel free to submit

anyway lets take a look

great to see you post my friend. I have a bout 17 images in all done so far. I'll post them all and then back to the editing and then will add more. Here is a folder by Joe Olson which was the winner of the Best Folder award

Hi Murray - thanks for being out man on the scene at the show. I dig those little axes by Ray. Looking forward to more pics.

Roger

thanks Roger, hope others will enjoy the show too

anyway, on Sunday James Lumen will do a seminar and I am going to post a few of his style of knife and damscus. I'm awaiting Phyllis' return to this table so I can do some photos of another demo but she is wandering and I can't leave the computer alone

here are some of James' basic work

gee it is after 2pm and I have alot to do lol

anyway this is what James feels is his best pattern of crucible damascus and I'm not sure of the handle material but it appears to be a bone of some type

...and enjoying every post!

Roving reporter Murray White!

I'm stunned about those Club knives Bob Crowder made. LOTS of nice work. What's the scoop? Are they all pre-ordered? Cool.

Coop

Hi Coop, good to see you here. All the club knives were preorder and have club stamping. bob did make 4 others and I have my name on a list in case someone cancels

this is the last that I have done up for now but will edit some more images and see if I can get them up loaded and posted before the end of today and before we attend the banquet.

as many knifemakers and others know, I'm a keen proponent of prices being easily discerned when going to a table and even better to have info with the knife so a suspect can become a prospect who becomes a customer and I was told by Larry McLaughlin that he was asked, at last years show, to participate in a seminar about makers who are doing well in knife sales.

He told me that after my discussion with him regarding the 4 P's of marketing at this same show in 2001, he took the advice given and his knife sales just took off and he explained about talking to "this Canadian collector" and the concepts to help with sales so here is a photo of Larry with some of his knives
