Ok...I don't have MOLLE pouches for my MULE yet, but I wanted to try and pack it for 72-hr survival. Here goes:

Trying to put all this:

In here:

Step 1: Rubber band scissors so they don't puncture the bladder and paperclip together so they don't get lost:

Then, place all medical instruments [scalpel, tweezers, scissors] and file in back pocket:

Add saw, gum, oil pen, flashlight, sharpie, screwdrivers:

Then toss in lighter, lotion, powder, and hand-san:

Next comes the binos, Leatherman, and Buck 110 to the MOLLE webbing. I used zip-ties. The binos have the cord tied around them only after losing a pair in the woods:

Pack a small medical kit and other various necessities in upper pocket. This is a SAK, PJCB, Pills, Emergency Blanket, Needle and Thread, Chap-Stick and Band-Aids:

Pack some food in the upper pocket as well:

My Mora is attached to the D-ring with a split ring:

Then I clipped my diamond hone and emergency whistle to the pull strings on the upper pocket:

I zip-tied my AA LED light to the shoulder strap for easy reach:

My compass is in the little strap retention pouch for the waist strap:

This is the final product:

This actually loaded quite well. I just wanted to see what I could get on there today while I was confined inside because of the weather.

Now if only I could find some MOLLE gear cheap so I can quit wasting my zip-ties...:D

Looks good. I have a MULE that I use as well. I want to change up my load out so it is good to see other options. Have you filled the bladder up with water yet? I find this takes up some of the cargo room.

Yea...that is with the full OMEGA bladder. I didn't put anything in that large pocket. I wanted to get a feel for it before I go out hiking.

Nice review ! Oh dougo the little fanny pack from Wally World we were talking about earlier is ony $5.98 at ths time  Well worth the money ! I picked up a small pouch that hooks to it todayfor another $5.00 !

Oh...they must not have it in stock here then. The only one I saw was about $20 currently. After season it will be dirt cheap. Also, they have a backpack organizer in Mossy Oak for a truck. It clips on the back seat. I am thinking about buying one to use as a BOB. Load it up and keep it in the truck. Sounds handy enough to me.

Great set up doug; let me know what you're looking for in a MOLLE pocket...I have a few lying around and may be able to send you one.

ROCK...I honestly wouldn't even know. I will get back to you though. I don't know much about them. I can't even recall ever seeing one.

I don't own a scale, but I will find out tomorrow. It holds 3L of water and a gallon weighs roughly 8#...with this information I must mention my laziness that prevents me from googling the conversions. :D

Caine did a review on his blog...and I'm interested in this one:
Try it now

I have various pouches by several makers. It's nice to add an external accessory pouch for binoculars, snacks, compass or other essential item.

I think I might grab a MOLLE pack to pack a decent-sized FAK. Throw in some more band-aids, antiseptic, OFF, ACE, etc, etc, etc. I also wonder if a buttpack from Maxpedition would be a good complement, or if it's even necessary.

PS...bad link

Ooops, sorry, try it now...there's so many options you really need to decide what you want quick access to and then look for a pouch to fit.

Hey, I think I have that accessory pouch. I'll dig through my tuff box and pull a few out. I'll post some pictures or maybe I could just mail a few down to you to try out...PM me your mailing address and I'll see what I can come up with this week.

That would be pretty friggin cool. I am gonna hit the surplus today and see what they have laying around.
