Local boy does good.......

Ray the knives are awesome and look even better in real life. Was fun to spend a bit shooting the breeze with you. Glad you made some sales Sunday and the awards were not a jinx. Good job Jim

Thanks for the pats on the back!

I went and did the NWKC Show in Tacoma this weekend. First time I ever did back to back shows. This show had very little traffic both days. Very, very slow show. Had one knife sell just before the show closed Sunday. The show closed at 3pm Sunday. At 2:30 I started matching up sheaths to knives and was real close to packing my bag. A couple stopped at my table and looked at just about every big knife I had. Wrote me a big check and walked off into the sunset. That was a great attitude adjustment. I did win a couple more pieces of plastic. Both came with a $100.00 attached to them. First time that happened to me.

Congrats on more emmys Ray. That cash bonus has to feel good too.

Bruce, The cash was a total surprise. There trying to get more makers to come to the show. Didn't the Montana Show give a cash prize this last show? Did you notice if it did bring in more makers?

I dont think it brought more makers but it brought some well done entries in hopes of winning. Joe Olson won the "best of show" worth $500. I won best art knife and best historical/ethnic but no money. I tried hard but always play second fiddle to Joe.

Ray Richard uses equestrian mineral oil.

Tai, I know I'm not a purest. Never said I was....... I am pretty regular.... :D

Bruce, NWKC only gave 4 awards. Best Folder, Best Hunter utility, Best of the Rest, and Best of Show. All 4 came with money. Best of Show came with $300.00 which Michael Raider received.
