Just as a warning to anybody thinking about purchasing from Logan Pearce. There is a large chance he will not deliver whatever you order. He will take your money and not return calls. I'm not alone here, just look at his Better Business Bureau page... I placed an order with him and experienced just this as others have. Just a fair warning to any potential customers out there. Don't get scammed by this guy like me and many others have been.

Op you have any documentation to your claim. Not disputing you but without proof of your claims some may not take them seriously.

I'll let that start... I ordered 2 knives totaling $140 from him in October of 2015. Sent him the check and invoice on October 2nd (Still have the confirmation) and my bank shows he cleared the check on October 12th... So the waiting game begins. I figured it would take awhile but I hand't heard from him by mid January so I started calling him every other day. After a few days I get through and he says my Rasp Cleaver was taking a minute but it would ship out by the end of the week (this was on a Tuesday). Waited 2 weeks and nothing... Started calling him... Nothing... Voicemails never got returned and i even left him Facebook messages that you can see when they read them aka time-stamp and he still has yet to call me back. Over a dozen voicemails I have to say he is legit dodging me at this point and isn't planning on making good. Because it was a check and not a credit/debit card (backed by Mastercard/Visa or similar) my bank could not vouch for the vendor and left me on my own. Apparently a good learning lesson for everybody about checks. Banks only back checks to "verified vendors" which is maybe why Pearce Knives can't take credit card payments online... So I was left with options like this to warn others. I never expect him to make good just want to stop others from making the mistake I did. I should of looked at his Better Business Bureau rating... (If anybody wants it you can PM me for my BBB case #)

I have no experience with this guy, but I do have experience with paying up front for knives. It is a bad idea. The only time I have been ripped of at all from knife people, were knife makers I paid up front. A well known dealer once told me-the hardest knife to make is the one that is paid for(not an exact quote). A lot of these guys are barely making it. They already have all the money they will get from you, and it will take time and materials to make your knife. They would rather make a knife they can sell(for new money).
Extreme custom orders are the exception-if you are asking them to make something that they can't readily sell, if you back out, you may have to come up with some front money

I would like to edit this statement:
While I still have the same general opinion about paying for knives up front, I should state that I don't think any of what I said would apply to Mr. Pearce. He seems to have a good business model, and is taking good care of customers money in his charge. The way he is handling the money, there is little difference between taking it up front and paying when completed. It is others poor business models to which I was referring. Even saying they have a business model may be stretching it.
If my original statement seemed offensive, I truly apologize

Yea I guess its one of those live and learn situations. Just wanted to make sure nobody makes the same mistake by dealing with him over the web. No doubt his stuff is cool and would love to see it at a gun show/knife show (maybe not now haha) but want to share my experience with him. I offer him to contribute to this thread. There are no real forum posts through Google about his not delivering issue that are made since 2012. The BBB link I posted has much more recent stuff but it seems none of those folks posted in forums ( including parents whose Son's knife didn't show up and a wife who bought one for her Husband's BDay) which show up Google just posted a complaint on the BBB site but not in forums. In case anybody in the future searches his name before buying I hope this pops up and he or she does their research more than I did.

I'd contact him with a link to this thread if it were me, maybe that will get communication re-established

It does take me a while to complete orders. I am sorry for that. I have also replied to and explained it all on the BBB page, to every person who has complained about it. You can read them and see that every person was taken care of. I'm sorry that you have had to wait this long, but I have not intentionally ignored you. Do you get a lot of e-mails, voicemails, and messages.

I try to return as many as I possibly can. What is your name and I will see what the problem is. If nothing else, I can refund your money. If that makes up for anything at all.

Again, I'm sorry for the miscommunication and that you had to wait this long. You can send me a private message or I will be around all day returning phone calls until 10 p.m. tonight. 580-212-0995 is my number.

Nevermind, I found the complaint. Thank you for posting! It did make it all easier to track down.

Also, the money that I receive for the knives, are put into a separate bank account of it's own. Until the knives are completed and sent. That way the money is never spent until that order is done. It also makes it easier for when people don't want to wait for the knives to be made, for me to just send them a refund. Which I shouldn't have to do for much longer, since I am closing in on being caught up.

I also can accept credit cards, but I refuse to at the moment. There for a while there was a 3 year wait on my work. It seems that people that paid with credit cards, got impatient quicker. Plus, this filters my orders easier, because too many orders and I will be over ran again. Meaning I will have disgruntled clients that don't want to wait for the knives to be made for them. Then assume they are getting scammed if I don't answer the phone when they call back to back, while I am working on the knives.

Anyways, I am sorry for the inconvenience and thank you, again!

If you can't see on the pictures, the tracking number for the refund is 9505510758066077034123 @ usps.com. :)

I sent you more money than you actually paid. Typically, when I do refunds, I do that. Call it interest from waiting. That way you walk away with more than you had invested.

Thank you for everything! I hope you have an awesome week.

You handled that like a gentleman, Logan.

It's very refreshing and nice to see.

I hope that this post serves as an example of your customer service and earns you no ill will/bad rep.

You handled that very well. It's always great when these things can be resolved between the parties.

I visited Mr. Pierce's website to take a look at his work, and he does address both the wait time and communication issues 1st thing on his home page.

I ordered a knife from Logan a few years ago and paid in advance. He didn't ask that I pay in advance, it's just how the website was set up for orders back then.

He immediately emailed me and said he was backed up and there would be a wait, he also offered me a refund if I didn't want to wait.
I told him I was ok with waiting.

I will admit , his time estimates were a little off and I wound up waiting a few months longer than planned. But he always answered my emails and even gave me a number to text him with questions.

Well ....it was worth the wait, I got a great knife from Logan and at a reasonable price too. Plus he was a nice guy to deal with.....

Just a different experience I guess.
