London gun dealers

I 3rd this one.

Even I balk at the current prices for those guns and the Italian bespoke shotguns, but saying that, i have handled a few of them in the stores and would really not have a problem owning one if had had the stupid money that their typical buyer does. They are that amazing:thumbup: Think Moran, Fisk, D.E. Henry, Warenski, Loveless, etc. INSANE prices, but wouldn't ya love to have a drawer full of them? lol

Yes, I agree, Boker knives for those prices are plain ridiculous. Did you just see them at Aspreys? Or at Purdey as well? Hard to imagine Purdey selling Boker knives..
As for double rifles, there is a wide price range. Have seen them for as low as 8000 to as high as 375,000. Applies to everything else, the skys the limit when you want the very best.

You are correct, Talon. Pretty much any double from the big boys will start at around $200k and an oddball gun like the .700 nitro could EXCEED $375k easily. I thnk that the Kodiak copy of the old Colt hammer double in 45/70 can still be had for under $3k, but it doesn't have regulated barrels.
The knives at Purdey were pretty much identical to the ones at Asprey. I only know that the Asprey knives were Boker because the manager of the gun room told me with a look of disgust on his face....lol. I don't mean to disparage Boker and neither did he. I mean to disarage Purdey and Apsrey for charging that much. I do not recall seeing any knives at William Evans and I didn't make it by Holland or anyof the other shops. I wonder if Boker has a "London Best Gunmaker' sales rep making the rounds in Mayfair and St. James?:D
