Lone Wolf Knives?

And also, kind of related, Knifeworks is going to become the sole seller of Ritter's knives...

Yes, that's correct, KnifeWorks is going to be the sole source for Ritter knives. I noticed sometime this week their website began taking pre-orders for some types of the Doug Ritter Mk1.

For the Doug Ritter Mk4 Gentleman's Knife -- a variation on the Lone Wolf Paul Presto -- Aeromedix remains the place to call. The person I spoke to at KnifeWorks this week didn't know anything at all about the Mk4, while Aeromedix told me they have just two more.

I own a Lone Wolf Double Duty auto. I like the design of the knife but the clip is thin compared to my other folders (BM, Spyderco). The spring seemed to lose tension quickly and needs to be replaced. As mentioned previously, it lacks the "fit and finish" of comparably priced knives. Glad to hear that BM is handling repairs.

So here's confirmation that Benchmade will handle repairs for Lone Wolf Knives. How do I know? Because my brand-new Ritter Mk4 arrived last week and I was completely unable to open the knife! The Paul lock prevented the blade from opening at all.

For a few days I thought about shipping the knife off to Benchmade for repair (Aeromedix confirmed that Benchmade now handles the warranty for Lone Wolf), or back to Aeromedix for replacement. But then I thought: if I can't trust a knife to open when I need it, it's not worth it. In fact, the guy at Aeromedix admitted that 4 or 5 of the nearly 300 they've sold have had similar problems immediately, and that they've heard of other cases where people had to sent their Paul locks back for repair afterwards.

A 2% failure rate on the lock of a $182 knife? No, thank you. I'll tell you, the scales and heft of the knife were marvelous. I very badly wanted the knife to work out well for me. But off it goes. Unfortunately, I will have to eat shipping costs both ways between home and Aeromedix.

is figuring them into my carry rotation. No problems with the axial lock, fit and finish are great and they are a joy to open when you hear the lock snap into place.

I use the T2 and longhorn for EDC during hunting season and for s30v Ibelieve they are as good a knife for the money as you can buy in stainless . I do prefer tool steel over s30 but in a maintenance free carry knife these are hard to beat and their cust. service is unequaled , something you want to consider next time you buy a 400 dollar strider.

I've got a Trailmate with the G10 handles. It's a great little knife. F&F is great. It's nothing exotic, but it's definitely not a Gerber.

i own a TON of LONE WOLF T2's and T3's.

for several years T2's have been used, and they are a great knife.
their D2 DA's are wonderful and reliable.

i also think that LW is absolutely underrated in the knife world.

anybody looking for a certain model, maybe i can help.
they are becoming SUPER RARE, and prices are rocketing.

well, once sold, you might not be able to EVER replace it.

I'm looking for either a T1, T2 or a T3. Do you know where/who might have some?
