Ha! Strange you should say that, this is what I wrote on another forum............

IF someone gets in my house and is a threat to me or my family then I want something that keeps them at well beyond arms reach. This big beauty allows me to do that.
The fact the end is blunted also allows to me to savagely punch the end tip with force into his ribs, diaphragm, groin, guts or throat. This is NOT a lightweight hybrid knife, this is a reduced length staffed weapon and hence allows me to thrust with painful and dramatic result without huge force.

IF the scenario warrants, I can also use the butt to deliver painful strikes as well as deep cuts from the bladed end, basically pivoting around the centre point.

This is NOT going to be a shelf queen this will be a User. I like the heft and weight of it and am VERY pleased for the price paid.

Regards,

BRIAN

When I built the first of these last year, my son and I (as well as a few of our friends) gained a great amount of respect for the abilities of long blades...I am of the opinion that something like this would be just the thing for confined spaces, along with a reasonable amount of reach.

I like it alot at the campsite and around the yard too...it is damned handy all around.

If you ever get around to getting a sheath made for it, I would like to see what you get.

All the best,

-Todd
