Long Pulls

I really like the long pulls, especially in combination with a pronounced swedge e.g., Greg's post. This blade has a short and a long pull so I suppose one can choose.

VERY cool, I've never seen a combo like that, thanks for sharing it....it's a beauty....but then again all your knives make me drool. :D

I'm not sure I like long pulls on a knife with a half stop. My nail get in there to open it and when it clicks to the half stop, the nail gets caught and torn up a little.

Of course this may depend on the knife, the cut of the nail, the depth of the pull, the snap of the half stop...etc. Hard to generalize.

I am definitely liking the look of that one Cory. I can't quite make out the stamp, who made that one for you?

I believe that Brent Cramer (Blades&Grace) made it for Corey. (I only know that because I spent half the weekend on Brent's website drooling over the pictures of the knife I'm getting from Brent this week!)

I have a few with long pulls. I like the look more than the function, and find placement trumps design in most cases. But they sure are pretty.

I'll throw in with the long pulls.

The knife that I carried the most in my life, my old Buck 301, had a long pull, and I got spoiled by it. I do love the looks of the long pull on a nice clip blade. Match strike pulls will almost have me pleasuring myself!:D

Sadly, they are being lost for the sake of faster and easy production, like a lot of things.

Heck, I'd take a long pull on a peanut if I could get it!

Okay, it would be a shorter long pull on a peanut.

Carl.

I'm james foster and I approve this message.

Once again the folks here are blowing my mind with the amazing knives they have......true elegance, but with muscle!

It's obvious that for some odd reason Elliott doesn't like long pulls......holy toledo and akron too!

That is a Brent Cramer. The cool thing about it, there's a long pull on each side of the blade. A totally ambidextrous knife.

Long pulls look particularly nice on spear point blades. I really like it on this harness jack.
