Long stories, short

Hey Perti.
thanks for sharing. best of luck with your "full" life (in the best sense of the word).

here is a poem i wrote when my oldest graduated high school. he was born when i was still just 19 years old. so, you could say i grew up with him. what a blessing.

"Mementoes

The old cardboard box contained trophies and locks
From times that seem long, long ago.

Pictures and smiles remind of trips and of miles
Such a-fleeting years, they did flow.

Lives i ponder and i sit and i wonder
From child to a man he does grow.

The faith that is found and the love that abounds
Unsure if the father did show.

Reflection of a son, a life just begun
So blessed to watch my boy grow.
"

Glad you are doing well, Sarah. Thanks for all of your posts and kind words. Not an entry, just a wave in passing. :)

Meet Julia. She has BLUE eyes, and her room is decorated with... you guessed it. Owls.

And so, after an extended week end of culminations...

... I set about to number up some marbles to randomly choose a winner.

I currently have no foster kitten babies to man my patent-pending Kitten Random Number Generator, but I'd hoped for an efficacious game of Ker-Plunk.

Wouldn't you know, we are lacking sticks.

Test Run Fail:

(Note to self: check condition of Ker-Plunk game before numbering marbles.)

I returned to a stand-by, involving many playing cards, blind shuffles, No Peeking, etc.

Very cool giveaway Sarah, love your system of choosing winner,:) congrats to deskil on winning a great looking knife.

Well, the kittens and marbles method seemed more effective, but since you were short on kittens I was just suggesting an alternate tool.

Amazing coincidence that it came up with the same number as the cards :D

Congratulations deskil!
