Longest you've owned a Sebenza?? Lifetime knife??

Does anyone who has been using their sebenza for years have wood inlaid handles? I'm finally past the point where I am babying my sebenza's blade (because I realize that it can be replaced) but I get sort of worried about the wood inlays still. How have they stood up over time?

The wood inlays that I have observed to hold up cosmetically really well after years of EDC are giraffe bone, cocobolo and lignum vitae. I'm hardest on inlays with moisture -- they sometimes endure sweat being carried IWB, and have been known to go through the wash. :o I've messed up some nice camelthorn inlays via water damage, but would surmise that it holds up well for a guy that's not as abusive as I.

I have a cousin that bought and started carrying an original "P" Sebenza in the early 90's and he still carries it today. The sheath looks like crap but the knife still looks really good. He has used it extensively since he bought it and has carried it on many camping / survival trips in which he gets dropped off at point A and hikes to point B which takes him a week or so usually.

Pictures of that beauty PLEASE!
