Sounds like Mick Strider might be the only man alive that can sling bull&h!t as well as Lynn Thompson. They're both a couple of windbags in my opinion. But Lynn makes killer fixed blades and it appears Mickey's folders are top shelf. So as long as neither of them are funding terrorism it doesn't bother me much.
 
Well, I guess if you are going to buy a knife from a guy just because he claims to be a "black op", you deserve to feel like the fool you are. I buy knives from people that know how to make knives not from the guy with the most exciting life.

Sounds like Strider owes the rest of us an apology.
 
They don't owe me an apology. I stopped being interested in framelocks before any of this dramaschtuff started.
 
If you actually go look at all the information, there is just not enough there to get so bent out of shape about.

I think that the players in this story have some sort of "personal" thing going . The Internet is a place that sometimes brings out the nasty in people.
 
Ill go on record as saying that this is the lowest I have ever seen anybody in the knife industry ever behave...Shame on Lynn for his piss poor behavior.

and I will also say that I am not a huge fan of strider knives.so I cannot be accused of being a follower...or a fan....I have owned a few ( AR, PT, etc ) they were fine knives and razor sharp and seemed to be a good blade..just not my genre....

Remember you reap what you sow. People should build eachother up instead of tear eachother down...disgusting...

Yeah, I got a real bad feeling ... I usually go to "ltspecpro" for Cold Steel but the other day I checked "coldsteel" instead, and ran right into that really lame ROCKSTAR OR JAILBIRD infomercial. True or false, it reads like a QVC commercial, all carefully laid out to scam the suckers. I think everyone interested knows the basic facts by now. Amazing how Lynn managed to make the facts seem forced and the whole argument like a personal disagreement.

Just in case anyone's forgotten, Mick makes knives. Lynn makes money, but he doesn't make knives. I hope the Strider guys and their friends ignore all this and let Lynn have the last word, because if they do, they win the argument. (When you throw mud, the one place you know it sticks is on your own hands.)
 
I could have told any of you that upon meeting Mr.Strider he is a cross between Jack Bauer and Chuck Barris with a splash of knifemaker thrown in, a veritable enigma wrapped in a BDU.
 
I have not seen the place where Mickey Ray Burger refuted the fair and square claims made by anyone , including ME.

I have seen that Buck Knives seems to be with him. Last week I called Buck and complained. It was at night. The security Guard told me that he was taking down the message.

I have been pointed to this post and to that post by guys that really seem to truly hate this Strider guy.
And, I have went where they pointed me to go, and I have looked at what information there was to see...

But the truth is in my view there is just not enough support for them guys to be getting so upset over this topic.

I just smile when I see posts taken off of internet message forums.
Thats got to be the most lame thing for one guy to do in another I have ever heard of...
I dont know about you guys, but when I see this stuff flying back and forth, I get the feeling Im watching a bunch of little girls fighting....

Right now I really am stunned by the way the Cold Steel people have allowed this one topic to so take over control of how they show off themselves to the world.
I dont know if being known from now on as the Anti-Strider guy is what a person would want as about the only thing people will ever remember him for.

My own view is that knife makers should always cut each other a lot of slack.
There are many knives I see on the market that I think are the most foolish designs i have ever hear of.
There are many Heat-treatments I think are the most silly things a guy could ever dream up too.
But I sure would hold my tongue and not say so out in the open, (like in BLADE mag or my website) , because I dont want to have that one issue connected to my good name for the rest of my life.

I wasn't referring to the thread I started. I was talking about the thread I linked to in my post. The thread where "Knife Geek", a person who only has 6 posts, posted the link.
