Looking back, what was your SINGLE best Buck acquisition of 2023?

I recently picked up a Camillus/Buck 309 fishing in the bay. Carried a lot and used a little. Nice and tight. Couldn't be happier. Bought my self an early Christmas gift of the Buck 192 Vanguard. Carried with me on vacation to the NC mountains in December. Jury still out, but seems like a really nice knife. Used it some but not enough to draw a final review. Looks beautiful, almost perfect in very way. I don't think it will replace my 102 though.

The first one I was excited about was the stealth run 110 in Magnacut and I managed to acquire one thanks to Jesse. And then the second one is the 501 Larrin in Magnacut of course. I haven’t got to use the 110 much yet but I’ve been using the 501Larrin and it is fantastic! It’s a great little knife!

The 117 was my only Buck knife purchase in 2023. I'm so glad Buck put this one back into production. In my opinion, it's the Goldilocks of Buck fixed blades -- with regard to size, it's "just right"! 😁 (Strangely enough, I've been eyeing a 120 at the local knife shop. If ever there was a knife that I didn't need...)

Not a 2023 release, but for me probably this claymore bowie made with walrus ivory Tusk. Also picked up a couple of Buck 909 Mountain bowies and a 919 Apache bowie that I have not photographed, but are a close 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. :p 🤣

I only joined BF and BCCI this year. So, I had a lot of catching up to do. As a result, I think I ordered something like twenty Bucks including some fancy ones like the BCCI jasper 110 and 112. But, these are my three favorites, the BCCI 112 Koa, the BCCI 501 Elk magnacut, and the 501 Larrin. If we are describing best as most used, it would have to be the Larrin.

I've shown these singularly in the past months. Now for the explanation. For some time I've wanted the 50th Anniv. 110 with stars. I bought a lot of seven 110s with it, three other 50th Anniv. 110s and the three you see shown here. All four of the 50th versions are not easy to come by.

Several years ago I was desiring to try a decent quality, modern style knife; of course I looked to Buck and this sub-forum for models and features. Makael Makael kindly gifted me a 345 Vantage Paperstone variation, and I bought a 112 Slim Pro and a 110 Slim Pro from my local gunshop. The combination of features (ease of the pocket clip in and out of different pants fabrics, ease of blade deployment, and overall ergonomics, made the 345 my favorite of the three. I decided after a year of carrying the 345 that I wanted a Cadillac version of the Vantage and started asking more questions - ended up buying this Cabela's 347 Vantage Alaskan Guide from Preston ( pjsjr pjsjr ) last January (at a good friends price as well - thanks again Preston). After a year of carry I can attest it is the best Buck Knife I purchased in 2023. OH

Congrats on that old glory 110. Definitely a bucket list knife. I'm still searching....
