Looking for 4'' EDC Folder

The ZT0452CF or 0909 I think would be the way to go. The 0909 is $20 under and the 452CF is $20 over. Both are great knives!

Which Kizer are you looking at.? :-)

I am trying to find a 4- 4 1/2" large folder for my next EDC trying to stay under 200.00 looked at Kizer, Cold Steel Recon 1 and a few others what have you guys seen or carry in that range.

Wow those are some great choices guys thanks.
Wavester I am looking at the 5404a2 4 1/4 inches nice looking liner lock. I like those Vipers nice lines never came across that line before.

Another pic of a couple more 4 inchers!!
I know the Hogue doesn't get much press around here, but it is one HELL of a knife! Smooth as oiled glass with a seriously tough button lock with no movement period! Something a little different that is a really fun beast!!

The Spyderco Military is a really good knife. With all the new knives that have come out the last couple years, I forget how awesome the Military is.

I'll tel ya Stormy.....that one is a Cruwear Millie with Putman scales and it is a dream of a knife!
I have 2 others, a Ti and a camo with coated blade.
Workhorses all!

I'd say your original idea was perfect. There's a reason classics remain classics.

Whether in AUS8 or CTS-XHP, this is a beast of a folder, but still slices well, locks like a tank, carries nicely and its ergos are hard to equal.

There is an Al Mar shrike in the exchange for sale. Great knife.

Sorry it's gone/withdrawn. Still a great knife though

can you tell us about that modification on the thumbstuds

It allows the knife to open as it is drawn from the pocket, imitating the Emerson "wave opener" feature

Benchmade 710 is by far the way to go and it's under your budget, I have it in 3 different blade steels and it's the friendliest large knife I've carried, it doesn't seem big. The zt 0452 is great too and you can find them new from second-hand at your budget

I vote for the Spyderco Military, based on its overall popularity. One of my favorites is the Manix 2 XL. I was carrying my Military today and tomorrow I'll be carrying the XL.

Broken Skull:

Or Recon/Talwar:

Or if a stabby knife is more your taste:

They all have 4-inch blade.

In fact for a short while last month(or earlier this month), you can get a Broken Skull, a Talwar and a Recon 1(or any 3 of the combo above) together for less than $200.
