Looking for a 3"ish EDC

The Mini grip comes in so many flavors I'd recommend a Ritter if you can find one or a 555HG. I generally find the handle to be a bit too small for my medium sized hands. But there are lots of aftermarket grip options to fix that issue.

Of all three, I've sold the 0566 and SR2A. So I guess that makes the mini grip the winner...

The Ritter mini grip with the plastic handles and m390 steel is a nice and is well priced.

THIS. I've had a full size Cabela's Griptilian and currently have a Ritter Mini-Grip. The Ritter just feels like a more substantial, higher-quality knife. I LOVE it.

I've had a Ritter Mini Grip before. Put some custom scales on it and my brother in law fell in love with it and bought it from me. I've decided that another Mini is indeed in my future! I love the blade shape of the Ritter Mini but I love the ability to get the new G10 Mini with the blade coated black. Both steels are pretty much the same. So I just need to make a decision based on blade style. One benefit is that if I get the new G10 Mini I will put custom scales on it and I can give the Gray/Blue ones to my new stepson. I bought him a Mini Grip for being the Best Man in my wedding last weekend. Now I have to go shopping for custom scales.

Thanks for all the input guys! Here's a pic of my old Mini I sold my Brother in Law.

Oh, man, I'm in the same boat as OP. Kinda wanted to wait for Reate Wave, but my birthday is coming out and I wanted it to be a gift, so today I went to the only brick and mortar store in my city that has stocked a few of ZT knives and I touched them for the first time in my life...

And boy it was a joy! I immediatelly got my hands on ZT 0566cf and it was soooooooo freaking beautiful, full stonewash on the blade, carbon fiber, oh my god... It costs $230 there and if I didn't know that it's ELMAX, the back is stainless and there's an assist I would have insta-bought it, even for that price.

I'm not an expert on steel, but knowing that for $50 more I can buy 0562cf in 204p and get the best possible materials ruins all the fun, but I'm still contemplating about 0566.

Also went to the other store and tried BM940-1 and BM586 (they had no Grips). It just wasn't the same...

I posted these pics in another thread, but I REALLY like this knife. It's a Benchmade HK 14716 mini axis that came out new in 2015. It comes standard with G10 scales and D2 and is about the same price as a base mini griptilian. They were $95 before Christmas.

I have owned both the 0566CF and the Ritter Mini Grip in M390. Both were heinously sharp. The 0566CF was too heavy for me to want to carry, but I'm a guy who tries to keep EDC knives at 2.5oz or less. The Mini Grip wasn't bad, and felt much better in the hand with AWT scales on it. By the way, a Ritter Mini Grip with Benchmade deep carry clip and AWT scales weights 3.2oz.
