Looking for a bushcraft knife, budget $20

Tell you what, I've got three different knives that don't get rotated in my edc that I picked up just to see how they were. Condor Bushlaw, Condor Kephart, and a Boker Real Steel Bushcrafter. You can look up the specs on them or ask questions here and pick one and I'll send it to you if one works for what you are wanting. Then you can spend your $20 on some croc sticks or other sharpening apparatus. The Bushlaw has a leather sheath, and the Boker has a kydex sheath. The Kephart doesn't have a sheath.

I would take up the offer but I don't have a way for you to send it to me other then giving you my address, which I'd rather not give it out to some stranger on the internet, also sorry for the late response I've been busy

Condor makes some blanks that can be had under 20. You could put a handle on it yourself, or use cord to wrap the handle.

In case you were looking for another option.

You can purchase blade blanks for Condor's Kephart, Bushlore and Woodlaw for under $20. You get to put your own wood handles scales on them and end up with a stronger knife than a $20 mora. Blanks are available from Baryonyx and other online sources.
yeah the second knife I listed was a bushlore blank, guess the link got removed since I gave an amazon link, which one of those would you guys recommend for outdoors, bushcrafting, and everyday use?

This is what makes this place such an awesome community. Great offer. Seriously [emoji1360]

$11 will buy you a Cold Steel Finn Bear Seconds.

A Mora is fine and a good suggestion but the Finn Bear will do anything the Mora can do.

The Finn Bear is stainless steel, you wont need to make a handle yourself and it comes with a sheath;)

What are you afraid of ? He's offering to send you a free knife that he no longer needs, does this sound lime you need to worry ? He probably doesn't even live close to the state you live in so you have nothing to worry about.
C'mon man don't be rude, take him up on his offer of a free knife 😁

BTW you can't go wrong with Mora or old hickory for woodcraft, and you can probably find a used old hickory or similar for just a couple bucks at a thrift store.

C'mon dude... seriously? ERRN is a solid guy and regular poster here. I really don't think you need to worry.

Pretty sure he's a minor. Which is why I didn't make a similar offer. He shouldn't be giving his personal info to anyone on the internet, regardless of context. Nothing rude about it. Good job kid. (I'm a dad.)

Yea me too, I thought the same thing right after I posted the offer. If he pm'd me I was going to ask his age anyways and make sure he cleared it with his parents. If my oldest boy (or any of my kids) randomly had a knife show up at our house from someone online, we'd be having quite a conversation about it. 😊 If he was a minor and didn't have permission, I wouldn't be sending sending anything, period.

I didn't even think about the minor aspect. Makes complete sense. Still it was a very nice offer with a solid plan to insure all went well.
