That is a nice list of solid/affordable folding knives.

Ill throw this one out there, Camillus Pristine. 3 inch VG10 blade awesome G10 and steel handle. I was shocked at how nice it is. Bought it at a local Walmart, came in a box instead of blister pack for under $50

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm getting a buck 110. Is it exactly the knife I wanted, no. But do I care, not one bit. The thing just looks so freaking sexy I can't help it.

Was at wallyworld the other day, and couldn't help but look at the knives available. I bought the camillus hustle and I've been impressed so far. I cut my finger within a few minutes of opening so we may be meant to be.

This is the only problem I've found with the knife. Is the lock far enough over to be safe?

Kabar Dozier, best cheap knife imo for less than $20. If you can do $60 - Spyderco Delica or larger Endura will not disappoint.

I'm going to recommend the Böker Kalashnikov. ~$40 for a 3.5" blade all metal aus8 auto knife... The mini (2.5") is an option, but it didn't fit my hand well... YMMV

Hmm, can't say I think of Buck 110/112 as a junk knife, or an Otario Rat 2, or a kershaw.....I had a Byrd Cara Cara that was a very good knife (despite the low price). There are lots of good knives that don't cost a whole lot and still perform very well.

+1:thumbup:

Yeah this is gonna have to be fixed. It closed on my hand today when I was doing something at work. I already have it taken apart I'm gonna grindthe blade right at the lock to get rid of that uneveness which should let the lock swing farther over.

You might want to check out the new LINK series from Kershaw, 4 models all USA made, 2 under $40 and 2 under $50, great knives for the dollar. Model #'s 1776 , 1776T, 1776GRYBW, and 1776TGRYBW

I know it's been awhile, but I wanted to give you guys an update. I bought a 110 a month a go and I'm loving it. I've never tried a knife with that kind of sheath before and it's comfy. Thanks for the suggestions.
