Blackjack 1-5, or 1-7 are both designed as fighters, made of A2 tool steel, convex ground, and made very well. For what you describe the 1-7 ( model 1-7 inches) is the one I'd choose. I have one in fact. It's made lighter than one would ideally want for batonning and heavy use. That is on purpose as it's designed to be fast. It's a classic and made from a Randall original design but a bit under $200 instead of $600 with 5 year wait. A2 is tougher, and more wear resistant, and even a bit more corrosion resistant than Randall's O-1 Original, which is still extremely nice.
Blackjack also has several other designs to consider like the HALO, and mod. 125.
Another direction to take would be the Dozier New York Special, or Arkansas Tooth pick. A bit above $200 out of the A.G.Russell catalog ( A contributing dealer and icon of the knife industry for longer than many here have been alive). If in stock these knives have concealment sheaths, right or left hand, are Dozier and D2 ( don't need to say more). They aren't shipped with a sharpened false edge but if you want to do it it would not be difficult.
The Spyderco Street Bowie is a nice knife though I don't care for the sheath design. The knives itself are great. The Street Bowie at 5 inches is really a very compact design. The Street beat is a 3.5 inch blade but very capable, both are VG10, V grind, in your price range, and very well made, high quality stainless steel
Good luck
Joe
