Hey all, I've been looking more and more at the sleek looking knives with the carbon fiber handles. I don't know why, but I think I need at least one with the nice stylish handles.

With that being said, I like the looks of the Spyderco Gayle Bradley but I was wondering what all of you recommend. Price range, I'm willing to pay for something reasonably nice, so I'll cap it off around $250.

I've only had 1 spyderco (tenacious) in my time, so I'm still new to them.

Recommendations?

The GB looks nice and feels really nice IMO, but it's not really carbon fiber. A carbon fiber veneer or something on top of G10. If that doesn't matter to you, it's a great knife. I like the ZT 0452 and the Boker Decade Edition Exskellibur is cool too :)

Gayle Bradley hands down. Sharpest knife I own

Also
Zt 770 dlc blade CPM M4 steel is hot.

Then a 940-1

$250 will just about get you a Lionsteel TRE in carbon fiber, with a m390 blade and features out the wazoo, on some sites. Blade show 2015 knife of the year, baby!

Kershaw premium skyline in s30v
+
Boker+ Urban Trapper in vg10

You can have both for around $100/ea

Both slim and sleek, real easy carries and sharp lookers.

940-1 with the s90v blade. I'm loving mine!

I vote 940-1..

Just noticed govx has them for 199.. unfortunetly unless you're emt, l.e., military, or firefighter.. you can't access the website. I'm kind of bummed out because this week I just got the 940 and the contego.. before I saw the 940-1 or I would've bought it first

if you are able to access the govx website private message me your email and I will send you an invite and you can get like 10 or 15 off that 199.

Southern Grind Spider Monkey, ZT0452CF or ZT0562CF would be my suggestions! From what I hear there is nothing wrong with the direction you are going either! Regardless I hope you love what you get!

I love my Spyderco's and own over 50 of them but the sweetest little carbon fiber knife I own is the Benchmade Osborne. It's thin, lightweight (2.4 oz.), has an S90V blade, and is smooth as silk.

If you're able/willing to raise your limit just a little, you might want to take a look at the Spyderco Rubicon.

Great s30v blade, very sleek and stylish carbon fiber, orange g10 accents. I really like mine and carry it everyday.

I would strongly recommend against the ZT 770. I bought one for my brother in law for Christmas and it has been nothing but trouble. The pocket clip broke right off the bat,
we replaced that and due to there being no liners inside the carbon fiber (I guess) the assisted opening flipper action caused the knife to bust the blade stop pin right out of
the handle. He actually happened to find it on the floor board of his side by side. It's in a baggie at his house, he is slacking on sending it in.

The 940-1, on the other hand, looks extremely nice. I have wanted one since they came out, and am actually looking them up right now, thanks to this thread.
Best of luck.

Gayle Bradley is my favorite. The Spyderco sage and chaparral aren't far behind either. If I properly understand the way carbon fiber is made, even the pure stuff is really a carbon fiber veneer on the top layer. The bottom portion (which you can't see) just happens to be carbon fiber as well. No reason to pay extra for this IMO.

I recommend the Enzo Birk 75. Full carbon fiber handles and very well priced at around $110.

I'll suggest the ZT 0620CF, as I have one, and love it. I'd also second the ZT 0562CF. I couldn't find one, and bought the 0620CF instead. I still want the 0562CF!

If all you want is some carbon fiber in the collection maybe the new Cold Steel Lucky would fit the bill. Nifty little slipjoint and priced very attractively.

ZT0770CF with M4 steel for a carbon steel or a 940-1 for a stainless option.

Will post a photo of my 770cfm4 when I get home from work.
