Looking for a Folding knife with Carbon Fiber Handles

Do you know what makes me sad?

Whenever someone posts, asking for recommendations, and then nearly a month goes by and there's no new news about what they actually decided on... Not even hoping they picked my recommendation over somebody else's, but with my budget limited, I often live vicariously through the purchases of other users :(

Nice thing is, other folks bumping into this thread can take advantage of the feedback even if the OP disappears. There's nothing wasted here.

Now I've got to say I was taken aback by this post:

I would strongly recommend against the ZT 770. I bought one for my brother in law for Christmas and it has been nothing but trouble. The pocket clip broke right off the bat, we replaced that and due to there being no liners inside the carbon fiber (I guess) the assisted opening flipper action caused the knife to bust the blade stop pin right out of the handle. He actually happened to find it on the floor board of his side by side. It's in a baggie at his house, he is slacking on sending it in.

That's the first I've heard of this happening but it was something that concerned me when the 0770CF was first released. I even ran it past Thomas before I bought mine and he assured me I didn't have anything to worry about. Did your brother-in-law ever send his 0770CF into ZT for service? If so, did they fix/replace it? And did ZT say what they thought might have caused the problem?

This is my choice hands down.

Southern Grind Spider Monkey, ZT0452CF or ZT0562CF would be my suggestions! From what I hear there is nothing wrong with the direction you are going either! Regardless I hope you love what you get!
Absolutely and no one better to buy it from than this guy ^^^^^^^

The Boker decade edition exskelibur blew me away. I went looking to buy a zt 562CF or 452CF, and came away with this instead. Less than half the cost, and I was much happier with the F&F of the carbon fiber on the Boker.

I have to agree. I got the CF version and liked it so much I decided to pick up the Burled Maple version also. Very well made and unique knives!

BM 940-1.....unbelievably 'fun' knife that is backed up by EXCELLENT CS!!!!
Also check out the new exclusive at Knives Ship Free. Think it's a 908-1501......absolutely awesome looking blade!!
Have both and they are special!!
I also have a 452 coming tomorrow from usamadeblade......thanks for the great service, as usual, Scott!! That one looks retarded cool!!

Bringin it back... I don't care what anyone says I love my rubicon, and I got a black blade/ carbon fiber comin any day now.... Don't you hate when you don't have a tracking number and you get sooooo excited when the mailman comes!

Anyhow to add to the list...

Benchmade Stryker II 908BK-1501
Boker Plus Kwaiken CF
Viper Kyomi in CF (when it comes out earlier this year)
Viper DAN 1 or 2 CF (friction/slip joint)
Viper Ten CF

Sorry OP, I forgot I didn't add a photo of my suggestion...
ZT 770cfm4

I have the 0770 and never had one single problem at all. the pocket clip works fine and it fires open like a cannon. sharp is not a problem

Gayle Bradley. I occassionally carry that over my Sebenza. If lost, i would be more concerned with replacing the Gayle Bradley.

I love me some carbon fiber. Even though it's carbon fiber on g10, my Gayle Bradley is my favorite CF knife. I also love the CF S30V Skyline and the 0770CF is ok too.
