unwisefool: What I mean is that it seems that my grip would be hauling the section that moves inward to unlock the blade. If you were to twist a liner lock while it's in your hand, you might see what I mean.
That Cold Steel is looking better & better. I'm gathering it can be flicked open like a gravity knife- is this true? Also, what Benchmade is in the post two above this one?
ThePeacent: Great idea with the cable tie & the nut! I was always having issues with the cable tie spinning around (especially since I couldn't find glue that would work for metal, I was thinking of using pieces of duct tape cut small to hold it in place- like a diagonal lashing). Which model of Cold Steel were you saying carried well? LI'm looking for something that carries well (I found my Leatherman Sidekick was a pain in the ass with the weight, but I don't know if it's the overall weight or that it's a small chunk of steel that makes things very concentrated when it swings around from my moving).
