Looking for a good bush knife

Your right about the Russell knives they offer a saber or full flat ground knife. The saber is almost as easy to sharpern in my opinion.

Well I think you guys helped me decide on the enzo trapper... Why is it I can't post anything on the classifieds I wanted to put a wtb add up for a enzo and don't have the option

You can say, "does anyone have an Enzo trapper that they want to sell?" right here in this thread. The WTB forum gets almost NO action. (FYI: only Gold members and higher can sell, but anyone can buy.)

Let me tempt you with a few pics of the Dragonfly.
Its a touch over your budget but I think you would like it. I can't put it down, the 1/8th blade thickness cuts like a dream and takes a good beating. I'm starting to have second thoughts about thicker blades.

After looking at the dragonfly and realizing its non coated I really like that as well bit is the sheath good at all or what.

It's getting very angry in here.

Sharpened "pry-bars" FTMFW!! A Becker is a great value for a well built knife with an awesome warranty. Personally, I will put my Beckers up against any other knives of similar size and (hate to use Nutnfancy's term here) POU. Hell, I use my BK7 for cooking!!

For the OP, Beckers, Condors, Moras, and Ontarios are all very nice knives and have many options for what you are looking for and well within the budget.

I was a big Gerber fan back in the days where my bros and I were doing these crazy trips. The kind of trip that got planned over a beer pong game and when you stop and think about it after match... Well, we could have died a couple of times.

LMF2, Prodigy, Bear Grylls Ultimate whatever, even Buck knife; couldn't do the jobs I asked for in the field. For less then 100.00$, my opinion, go for a Becker. Now you have to ask yourself what type/size of blade do you want and what are your needs. After that, customize it to make it your own.

With the extra money, buy a good soap and send it to Magicatus. His tongue has to be cleaned up.

Cheers.

The sheath with the extra pouch is perfect for me as a companion knife. The flap is removable if you want to carry it open. It was loose fitting but it has a plastic/kydex liner that I heated up with a hair drier and molded to the blade for a snug fit. I plan on having a kydex sheath made for belt carry and keeping the original piggybacked.

Some beautiful knives above, but I'm sold on the Benchmade 162. Not scandi grind, but a fine knife. Nice beefy handle with enough topography for a good grip. It's a confidence-inspiring knife.

Update. Have owned the Benchmade 162 long enough to use it a great idea l. Also have a Fallkniven F1. Couldn't decide which to carry; one light and nimble, the other robust and bulky. Well, after a couple hours of carving while swapping off, the Benchmade has become my carry knife. Fallkniven caused a hotspot while carving and d I dint cut as well as the Benchmade. The 162 handle was comfortable even after long periods of strong pressure and it cut noticeably better and easier. The S30V steel see.s never to dull!
