Looking for a good "pocketable" fixed blade

Here are some good choices. I often carry a fixed blade in my pocket.

The above mentioned Cold Steel Super Edge has a full tang and a good sheath. The Esee Izula is a bit larger and pretty nice. The Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter is a full tang stainless knife with decent steel. The belt attachments for the sheath can be taken off purposely so that you can pocket or neck carry the knife.

Beautiful blades! I must say I like the Bradford A LOT. However I have the feeling that the price tag on it is not going to like me that much...

EDIT: Just checked. Shy under $160 + $35 for a kydex sheath... Could have been MUCH worse...

They really are reasonably priced for what you get. I have the M390 FFG version, but they also come in 3v. Top quality materials and a top quality knife.

Thanks for the photo comparison. I was really considering the companion. I already have the G3. Looks to me like the companion would be too small for my needs.

how much does an Evans Companion sell for?

As was said earlier in the thread:

They are running $84 for the basic scale version, black and I believe orange maybe, plus 7 for shipping. You can also buy upgraded versions of the scales in different colors and carbon fiber

No problem. It is smaller, but it really does feel and perform like a larger blade. I'm not much of a lanyard guy, but it does seem to fill the hand more with one attached. Both are great blades!

Ultra thin and light, the Spyderco ARK. More of a last resort defensive blade, not really built for utility. Knife if around or under 1 oz. I think the sheath actually weighs more. Sorry again for another crappy pic, just what I had available. It's the small fixed right in the middle.

Wow, what a great selection of small fixed blades you have! The ARK is a little less than the sheath in weight, at about .9 oz. The ARK is a great slicer, but was indeed designed as a last-ditch defensive option.

(There is an excellent review with lots of pics on BF here.

OP, the ARK is very thin and lightweight, but if ultra concealability isn't a major issue for you, there are other great choices.

The CRKT Folts Minimalist has always been one of my favorite small fixed blades, and is very economical.
I got the little Boker Magnum Li'l Friend Micro about a week ago to play with, but it is TINY. The blade is about the size of a quarter, but not as wide.

Well I can say a couple things about that review, can I not? To the OP, I heartedly recommend getting an ARK, I have come to really enjoy and appreciate mine. As said, in a very close second place I would recommend getting the CRKT minimalist. The wharncliffe one is lovely and I find it really useful. I actually like the blade and shape better than my ARK but it was the H1 steel that made me finally get my hands on the Spydie. No regrets!!!
You all have a nice day, and enjoy your choice whatever it might be!

A.G. Russell Woodswalker fits the bill here.

Very inexpensive, and you can choose the leather or kydex for carry option.

Hell, get both.
