Looking for a good quality wallet...

Been using this for a week and it's perfect if you like to keep things to a minimal. Love it!

Check out a company called "leather goods connection" They have always gone above and beyond for my wallet needs. I really wanted to try out one of them ragged edge carbon fiber wallets.

I have one of the Ragged Edge Kevlar/carbon wallets and it is great. Nice and thin, and looks like new after 11 months of daily seat pocket carrying.

I should be getting my first Saddleback(Leather ID Wallet) tomorrow.....ordered it mainly because of this thread(Thanks!) and after perusing their website at great length, I decided on downsizing and getting rid of my old Fossil bifold since I tend to carry alot of junk that I don't really need. After the time that I spent on Saddleback's website, I don't think that I'll be going anywhere else for my leather gear...

I got a Hipster Passport Wallet from Leather Goods Connection. Holds everything with room to spare. Holding up very well. They have great variety of styles and even the hipster has variants.

Since everything about you screams "Hipster," I'd say that's a good choice. :p

I like the Saddleback ID wallet for something slim, though even it can bulk up quickly if you load it too full. Saddleback's passport wallet makes a good Moleskin Cahier cover, with a slight bit of trimming (the notebook's cover, not the leather). :-)

I would check out "Fox Creek Leather." I've had one of their credit card wallets for years, and it still looks good. It looks to me to be similar in build to the Saddlebacks, but is a different style. Good luck in your search.

Saddleback for me too.

At around $50./shipped, their medium bi-fold wallet is under-priced for what you're getting.

Well I've been carrying my new Small Bifold for a few weeks now and I really like it. The first thing I noticed is how thick all the leather sheets are. I don't doubt it will last a long time. I like the simplicity. My only "complaint" is that, since it's new, it's quite stiff. Sometimes its difficult to get a stack of floppy bills all the way down so nothing sticks out of the top. I know after some wearing in that won't be a problem. So all in all I give it a perfect 10. I'll bump this thread in 10 years and let you all know how it's holding up.

Can some of you guys give me a hint about how many credit cards can be fit in the Saddleback small bifold and the small ID wallets?

I'm also wondering if you guys have a solution for "loose" pants pockets so that the wallet doesn't find its way out. I currently carry a Pacsafe 100 that has a chain but its become too bulky for my tastes, but I do like the chain. The "biker" chain wallets are way too impractical though, IMHO.

You ride a motorcycle? I know I constantly check my back pocket while I'm riding. Past wallets with chains have been nice, I just don't like to have a chain dangling when I'm not on the bike.

I just got the Maxpedition Spartan wallet about two weeks ago, and I really like it. Loads of room for stuff.

Does anyone have saddleback small bifold and maxpedition micro and could do thickness comparison photo?

How many cards can you fit in the medium? Is it too big to be a front-pocket wallet?

There's six card slots. When the wallet was brand-new two cards would fit in each slot pretty easily, more than two would take a bit of fiddling. I now have between 2 and 4 cards in each slot.

Card slots in other wallets seem to be of a generous size whereas the Saddleback wallet are not. It's a feature that I like about the wallet - I could drop it down a flight of stairs and it's likely that nothing would fall out.

As for whether it could be used for front-pocket carry, I guess it would depend on your pockets. :) I sometimes put it in the front pocket of my shorts & it's fine. I wouldn't put it in the front pocket of my dress slacks though.
