Looking for a good quality wallet...

Here is something goofy I made the other day. It's a titanium credit card. My billfold is bending my cards ever so slightly. It's not really a big deal, but I had some scrap 6al4v Ti lying around and made this. It stiffens the wallet up nicely and prevents the crease from the pocket hem becoming visible on the outside. It's super light and I anodized it blue at 30.5v. Kinda neat I guess.

I will second the Fox Creek Leather suggestion. Quality USA made all leather at a bargain price. I have been carrying their bi-fold credit card wallet for a few years and it is holding up as well or better than any wallet I have owned.

I would check out "Fox Creek Leather." I've had one of their credit card wallets for years, and it still looks good. It looks to me to be similar in build to the Saddlebacks, but is a different style. Good luck in your search.

I have a Cartier wallet that I've been using for a few years and I'm very impressed, it doesn't show a single scuff even though I don't baby it and throw keys and everything else in the same pocket with it. It's a little pricey but will last forever.

I like Saddleback products too. But my current wallet is made by Levenger - and I told myself I wouldn't splurge on one from Saddleback until the Levenger wore out! Here we are, four years later and it looks like new... Doh!

I am a minimalist when it comes to personal carry. I went from an Orvis credit clip to a Storus money clip from the NRA store
to something called the Grand Band. It is a glorified rubber band with a stainless steel embellishment and is enough to hold all
my cards and ID plus any folding cash I have. It was cheap@29.95 and the bands will last for years. Goodbye wallets.

I haven't read thru every post, so someone may have mentioned this, but check out bigskinny.net. They make ultra thin wallets in a very durable nylon, though several versions are covered with leather. They are made to be super thin for good hiney comfort, but still have plenty of room for contents. They aren't spendy either. One year guarantee, and the nylon flavors are machine washable. I've been using one for a year, and just ordered another.

If you want something a little classier, check out Ghurka wallets. I have been very happy with their Classic 101 model.

I like tri folds,Saddleback does not make them plus I had problems out of one breaking cards. One of the best wallets I have had is a Stingray from Infinity Leather.
They set up at Blade every year and make some nice quality stuff.

I would be VERY weary of those. Not that dealer in particular, but of stingray products in general.

To date, 2 out of 3 stingray products I've bought showed strange, easy wear, which prompted me to perform the "fire test" with a lighter. Both melted and bubbled like cheap plastic. The stuff is simply too easy to imitate with molded plastic, and some stuff is decently cobbled together so it doesn't feel stiff and artificial. The problem with the stingray products is that there isn't a well-known established and trusted brand name like Saddleback has with leather.

So now that I've melted my latest "genuine stingray" wallet, I've put in an order for a Saddleback Bi-Fold in Chestnut color. I'm hoping to get a nice dark red color and very soft and supple feel by giving it 3 coatings of Lexol:thumbup:.

Noctis,
Trust me on this.
Don't put anything on your Saddle Back wallet, at least for the first 30 years.

The timing may vary over individual differences in the acidity of our sweat:D.

Plus you know, it'll depend on whether or not I have to use my knife to pry my ID/Insurance/credit card out of there.

Coach makes beautiful leather wallets. I've had this one for more than 10 years, and it feels as if it is just getting broken in. They come with a great warranty. The stitching is still tight and secure, the leather has picked up a beautiful patina of age from use. The biggest drawback is the price, which was high, but when amortized across more than a decade is seems cheap, especially given the way they stand behind their products. I'd do it again.

I'm with Tymah on this one. I have a Cartier Pasha wallet going on 13 years and the thing gets more and more beautiful with each passing year. Have a 2nd Cartier wallet for just-in-case and it's been collecting dust for 12-years now. Don't have a saddleback wallet, but their leather is outstanding. Can't go wrong with that either, but a little too chunky for my taste.

I do need a new wallet and want a stingray model.
Just have to decide on bifold or trifold...

+ 1000 for Saddleback wallets.
I also had a gadget pouch for my samsung galaxy in its otter case.Tho too small at first I soaked it in water and stretched the living brown stuff out of it with a Lego model block. A couple of days and it fitted like a glove.Lost it sadly.
The Mrs has one and My bro in law got a black wallet for xmas one year.

My vote goes for a Stingray skin wallet. There's nothing as durable! (provided the inside has quality stitching)
Besides, we owe it to Steve for revenge!

anything as long as it's black smooth cowhide, and triple fold. a triple fold keeps the credit cards from deforming and sinks deep into the pocket. disadvantages are it bulges out a lot and it's hard to take out during a quick draw situation.
