Looking for a high quality EDC with good pocket clip

I would imagine that after 5 years of tip down carry, that might also be a consideration.

Not your preferred country of origin (Japan), but a Spyderco Endura or Stretch would be similar (weight and blade length) to what your used to, but with a step up in build quality, materials, and blade steel.

Benchmade 707 Sequel. About $140 most places.

Kershaw Skyline. About $46-$50 most places.

Spyderco Native 5. About $85 most places.

All great knives and all made in the USA. I own or have owned all 3 and loved them.

Get a Manix 2 FFG or better yet, a Manix 2 XL, assuming your ok with the wider profile, and I think you will be after using it for a while and seeing how robust a Manix is.

If you can go up to around $150 then a 950 Rift is a great folder.

Look no further than the first reply to this thread. Other than the delica the cold steel code 4 is a great knife that I highly recommend

Kershaw Camber may be a good option. S30V, deep carry clip, and American made for less than $70.

I recently became a big fan of the Benchmade HK Axis folders. Made in the USA, under $100 for either size, g10 scales, and a D2 drop-point blade at 60-62 HRC. Benchmade really does a great job with their D2, and at this hardness level it outperforms just about any other blade steel in it's price range and many higher-priced knives as well. I have both sizes and like them both a LOT better than the Griptilian (not to mention the Griptilian uses a softer blade steel).

I really do think the current pricing is just to help introduce the new product line, and I would not be surprised to seem them selling closer to $160 in a year or so. I'm glad I snagged mine when I did.
