Looking for a knife store in the eastbay california.

Regarding Martinez, about the only thing you'll find there are the little antique shops on main street. I've gotten some really good deals there, but only on used knives, some still new in the box. (Bucks, Case, older brand slipjoints, etc.)

Theres a gun shop called Canyon Sports in martinez. They have an ok selection of Benchmades, protechs, and some other randoms. They used to carry the BM 42 in store. Stopped selling them to civies just recently I believe.

Does anyone know who besides We Be Knives might sell the Sebenza? I would like to try out the two sizes. TAD Gear?

Thomasvsgodzilla,
What's your email? I have some info for you. I was born and raised in Contra Costa County. You could also email me if you like through bladeforums.

Dublin Knives is worth the trip, but I haven't met Justin. I haven't been in We Be Knives in years, but it was a fun place for knives. Other than that, my main source was the old San Francisco Gun Exchange - when they closed, I slowed way down on the knife buying.

EDITED TO ADD: you might also try Jackson Arms in South San Francisco - at one time they had a decent little selection of knives. We moved to Concord in 2006, so I don't know what they may have now.

thx - cpr

I agree about the Martinez antique shops
However, I CLEANED them out of any "valuable" knives about 6 months ago ;)
Mostly older knives

There used to be a place called White Bear Guns on Monument Blvd.
I'm pretty sure it's closed now:(

BTW...I graduated from Concord High!!
Go Minutemen!!:D

You didn't get 'em all - I got there and cleaned 'em out before you did! Heh heh...heh heh heh...

When I get our digital camera, I'll post photos of my collection.

Hey all,
I too live in the East Bay and am looking for a knife shop. I am looking for a shop that sells Emerson knives.
Also, does anyone know if the wave freature on most Emerson knives is considered to make the knife a gravity or automatic knife?
Thanks for the help.

This thread is rather old, but I'll help you out anyway. If you're ever in SF, check out We Be Knives on Pier 39. In San Jose, there is Stevens Creek Surplus, Castellos, Armorgeddon, or William Cutlery.

As for it being considered a gravity knife, I don't see how it would. It is not opened using gravity and is not deployed by the push of a button, so I don't think so. All of the knife stores I have been to sell Emersons to civilians, so they obviously don't see it as a switchblade.
