Looking for a machete

I am working in Central America these days and I have been extremely pleased with the 1075 El Salvadorean Imacasas I got from Baryonyx. He offers a pimping service for a few bucks extra where he fixes the crude grind and smooths the handle and spine. Being away from my own grinder and workbench, it was well worth it. His base prices and shipping charges are reasonable to begin with so the pimping package is money well-spent.

In the real (wet) world, I prefer synthetic handles and hard plastic USGI sheaths cut down to fit the machete, although I've noticed that if the locals here use a sheath, they always use leather. For me, leather sheaths just get wet, rusty, moldy, and never dry out.
