Looking for a new EDC!

If you like wharny's

Kizer 3304b is an aggressive little option. Listed as "severe clip point", but in my mind it's definitely more Wharncliffe...

BladeHQ has the CRKT liong mah eraser on sale right now too.
For as many who don't like CRKT, its one of their Taiwan models (not china) and it's gotten pretty solid reviews from quite a few reputable sources.

I carry a Byrd Cara Cara 2 most days, but being that your Spydies aren't what your after, I'd suggest an Ontario Utilitac 2 (approx. $25.00)

Have a look at the dpx gear heft. Excellent quality, tough, hard working knife. It's tip up but the detent is so strong I seriously doubt it will open in your pocket. Also the bottle opener can be used to wave open the knife if you like deploying the blade that way. I've had the HEFT T3 for a few yrs now and love it. From what I've seen and heard, most who have one are pretty happy with it. I know I am. Good luck with the search

If you have it oriented and clipped to the appropriate pocket, it is impossible (ok, not impossible, but you'd really have to do something dumb to have it open) for the blade to open. Tip up and front right pocket, the blade is sandwiched between the handle and the pocket material. You'd really have to do something stupid to have it open when carried like that.

A tad over your price range, but if you can squeeze it: emerson mini commander, emerson cqc 7 or emerson mini cqc 7. =) I would recommender others but I am not sure of any in the price range you're looking for that I have experience with. Perhaps the cold steel recon 1? I hear good things about it. Good luck!

Well everyone,
While I have not yet found my perfect EDC, times got tough and money has to be spent elsewhere. I sadly must put my hunt on pause. Thank you for all your help and I look forward to posting again when life gets straightened out and I'm ready to search once again!

Would you be interested in a Kershaw 1820 "Needs Work"? It is tip down, de-assisted, with a wharncliff blade. This particular one has the gray scales.

*Free of charge if it looks like something you would be interested in*
